3D cockpit for Peter's Aircraft A320/321 probably this weekend!

Featured Replies

Hi!

Have a look on Peter's homepage. It states that, if everything work as expected, the A320 and A321 will get their free upgrade for the 3D cockpit this weekend!

I am really looking forward to this, it'll make my favourite Airbus simulation even better!

These a great news!!!!

Flight, FBW and FMGS/MCDU-wise I still preffer the QPAC, but Peter's is a close 2nd place, and now with it's 3d panel will probably share the 1st place with the QPAC :-)

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

I just love them equally, but Peters Airbus will be my no.1 with the beautiful 3D cockpit! The middle cockpit window strut in the QPAC really disturbs the view to the runway on approaches...

Is it just a 3D Cockpit added no work done on the MCDU? If so then I'll pass.

The FMGS won't get additional features since this is "only" a visual update. But the DU's got reworked completely for the 3D pit and should show an outstanding realism!

Wish he would also update his A380 with an improved 3D cockpit and exterior model.

Ditto the A380---fun , interesting aircraft marred by poor resolution displays in 3D cockpit.

Might sound funny but I fly it in 2d only. 3d is far from state of the art.

I really hope that this A320 / 21 cockpit is easier on the frames too...

Just like Ralf, I seldom use the A380 in 3D.

I only use 3D cockpit--each to their own--preferring the increased situational awareness, immersion and discipline of good scan patterns; admittedly more important in GA / military than in "Hump and Dump" aircraft.

Me too. A 2D works well if I was a flight engineer, or navigator. I need the 3D to get a sense of flight. That's why I was using makeshift 3D back when combining FS98 with Microsoft's Combat sim.

I enjoy having the option of both, depending on the phase/workload of the flight.

Exactly! On circling approaches for instance, it is very handy to have a 3D cockpit and Track Ir. Especially with the fantastic hand flying characteristics that Peter's A320 and A321 have.

I'm really really looking forward to this one! Anybody got it yet? I'm still waiting for an email.
