Photo scenery Belgium 2012 re-uploaded

Recommended Posts

After many request and the release of Nightlighting for Belgium I re-uploaded the scenery.

It consists of 1mp photo scenery for Belgium and Luxembourg  ( Brussels 0.5mp ).

Many autogen trees and some objects have been placed on top of it by Dominique Dziedziczak an dmyself.

Also new Afcad files for all default airports

I suggest to use Mega Airport BrusselsX  and Luik EBLG ( freeware : Thibault Dosunmu ) with it.

When using with the great freeware scenery NL2000 place Belgium 2012 below it in the scenery library.

Downloadlinks  , valid till 27th februari 2014 :

Belgium 2012 Part 1 :   http://we.tl/WYSpK8HZiy

Belgium 2012 Part 2 :   http://we.tl/avKys1chJ5

Put Brussels HD above Belgium 2012 in the scenery library.

Happy flying !

Gerard

Many thanks for the updated scenery. I have downloaded 2 files:

Belgium 2012.part1.rar - 3,973,878 KB

wetransfer-ee1133.zip - 2,020,753 KB

When unpacking the first file at around 30% I get these errors:

!   H:\SIMULATOR\FSX\SCENERY BACKUP\BELGIUM\Belgium Photoreal\Belgium 2012.part1.rar: Checksum error in Belgium 2012\scenery\Area_Lp2_SnapOff_N050251297_N050094237_E004530011_E005133937.bgl. The file is corrupt
!   H:\SIMULATOR\FSX\SCENERY BACKUP\BELGIUM\Belgium Photoreal\Belgium 2012.part1.rar: Corrupt header is found

I am assuming that the 2 files are consecutive  and when unpacking part 1 part 2 will be unpacked automatically. The same error occurs when trying to unpack them individually.

After downloading the 2 files twice wondering if they have perhaps been corrupted while downloading or if perhaps there is an error in one of the rar files. Brussels HD unpacked fine.

Your feedback appreciated.

It would be of great value if someone else who downloaded the scenery can give feedback.

The Rar files I have uploaded do unpack correctly.

My download was o.k. and very fast on the 1st attempt. (No download manager.)

wetransfer-ee1133.zip extracted results in the 2nd part for Belgium 2012. I shifted it to the folder containing the 1st part and the extraction continued flawlessly.

If it hasn't worked for you yet, try different download methods (with/without DL manager, different DL managers).

Furthermore, for extracting, WinRAR works better for me than WinZip.

Gerard, this PS/autogen combination is amazing!!!

Thank you for explaining.

Hope you will enjoy the scenery.

I am curious how the Belgium nightlighting is working with the photo scenery....

Happy to confirm that it downloaded (no download manager) and extracted fine for me too, using WinRar.   Enjoying a flight around Brussels now.

Gerard,

All downloaded - Many many thanks for your kindness. After some initial frustration myself, I would say its worth echoing what Ollie has reported above:

Belgium 2012 Part 1 : downloads for me fine.

Belgium 2012 Part 2 downloads fine but for me it was hidden within a zip file called  'wetransfer-ee1133.zip' With Part 1zip and 'wetransfer-ee1133.zip' safely in your Downloads folder, if you try to unzip Part 1 it refuses because it cant see a path to Part 2. (because its hidden under 'wetransfer-ee1133.zip')

Solution: Simply unzip wetransfer-ee1133.zip first, then inside this you will discover the apparently missing Part 2 zip file. Now Copy and Paste the Part 2 Zip file to the same Download folder that Part 1 is sitting in. Now unzip Part 1 without a problem and then Unzip Part 2. Presto

Finally thank you again Gerard - your a gentleman.

Andrew
