March 29, 201412 yr Pmdg suggestions to reinstall 32-bit Windows versions: > > *C:\Windows\System32\directx\websetup* > > > > 64-bit Windows version: > > *C:\Windows\SysWow64\directx\websetp*tx did not work for me. I reinstalled PMDG 777 and so far it is OK. However, I had the same problem before, reinstalled Pmdg 777, it worked for few flights then got instruments malfunction again.
March 30, 201412 yr Commercial Member Sorry. What is the s ? Don't worry about, it is not the cause of your problem. Rob Prest
March 30, 201412 yr I found an older post about similar problems. It seems to be due to incorrect activation due to an empty CMOS battery. This causes the time to be incorrect and activation to fail for ALL PMDG aircraft. read here, at the end: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/419953-complete-failure-of-ap/page-2?hl=%20cmos%20%20battery Rob Robson

April 18, 201412 yr I don't mean to be insenitive to the vicitims of MH370 but is it possible something like this happened to the instuments at night? And they couldn't get a fix? Course I imagine they would have contacted ATC about the failure. Interestingly the intigrated standby flight display is not affected by this "glitch" so attitude, altitude and speed can be determined but not navigation yet the autopilot still goes on it mary way with LNAV/VNAV go figure!
