March 26, 201412 yr Why do I have to go through two independent login procedures in order to access the PMDG forum? Furthermore, AVSIM's procedure to reset a password is extreme. They will perhaps quote the overused word "security" and it would be understandable perhaps that they have cause to be paranoid but if AVSIM had not upset so many people then they would have no cause to be afraid! I would be a much happier PMDG customer if the forum were not under AVSIM's umbrella. Mike

March 27, 201412 yr My post was placed in the forum that I am interested in, so in that respect it was placed in the correct forum! As the forum has taken over from more constructive and direct communication with a supplier or manufacturer there is no other means to make a (possibly) more 'appropriate' comment. I do not care for censorship! I logged on to PMDG and followed the link from its website where it required two emails from AVSIM before I could finally logon to PMDG-that is THREE processes! The AVSIM forum denies me the ability to freely browse the PMDG forum, instead it demands that I login! Is this a means of keeping tabs on people? Because I do not believe AVSIM's assertion that the servers are too busy-ALL of the time. Mike

Your comments are another very good example as why it is a bad idea, from its customers' perspective, for PMDG to use a third party (AVSIM) to provide its forum services. Mike

It might be worthwhile to read the terms of this forum. After all, you accepted them when signing up, so they just might be worth adhering to. If you decide not to respect the wishes of PMDG, why would they have to respect, or even consider, yours? Name available upon request
March 27, 201412 yr Commercial Member What are you talking about? After you have registered to Avsim and logged in you have access to PMDG forum, that's it. Password reset is just easy.
