March 27, 201412 yr Have an elevation problem surrounding the Taxi2Gate LTBA airport. The ground sinking so it it like a roller-coast ride if I slew my aircraft to these areas. I have a screen shot but do not know how to attach it to this topic. When I disable the airport in the Scenery Library the default airport is on a plateau, I know that this is an issue known in FSX. Have several add-ons including Ground Environments & Textures, Orbx Global 2008. Any idea if a "Flatten" file is available. In the Taxi2Gate scenery file is a "Flatten" bgl, if I disable this then I get the same issue at the airport itself. Sorry, same forum topic posted twice Edited March 27, 201412 yr by christiaan
March 27, 201412 yr Hi Christiaan, If you have the FTX Global Vector, you need to use the FTX Vector Configuration tool to disable the Airport Elevation Corrections Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
March 27, 201412 yr Author Appreciate your quick reply. I do not have FTX Global Vector, is it a necessary for FSX & what does it do exactley.
March 27, 201412 yr No, Vector is a payware product, and is not required. Check your mesh settings in fsx. try these settings [TERRAIN]LOD_RADIUS=4.500000MESH_COMPLEXITY=80MESH_RESOLUTION=23TEXTURE_RESOLUTION=29AUTOGEN_DENSITY=3DETAIL_TEXTURE=1WATER_EFFECTS=5 System: MSFS2024, ASUS Rog Stryx Z790-A, Intel i9-14900KF, Asus ROG Ryujin III 360 , Asus Hyperion Case,Rog Stryx 4090 OC, Samsung 970 EVO M.2 SSD, 1Tb Samsung 860 EVO SSD,64Gb G Skill Memory, Asus Aura 1200W Gold PSU,Win 11 ,LG C4 48" 4K OLED Screen., Airbus TCA Full Kit, Stream Deck XL. March 28, 201412 yr It may also be an additional mesh scenery you are using. Try disabling additional mesh sceneries in the scenery library. James Goggi
March 28, 201412 yr Author These are my setting Mesh Comp=85 Mesh Res=25 Text Res=26 Water Effects=4 The others are the same. I do not have an "extra" mesh as for as I know. I do have the add-ons mentioned in my first message. Also how can I post a screen-shot of the issue
March 28, 201412 yr Did you have another freeware of LTBA installed prior to installing the T2G version? Sounds like a duplicate afcad issue if you ask me. Andrew Entwistle Andrew Entwistle

March 29, 201412 yr Author Sorry to say that the change of setting made no difference. Thanks anyway to you and others with the suggestions. Did not have another LTBA but to make sure I ran Airport Scanner but it did not show double afcads.
March 29, 201412 yr I do not have an "extra" mesh as for as I know. I told you because I used a freeware Europe Mesh and with it I got exactly the same issue as yours. Everything went right after disabling that mesh. James Goggi
March 29, 201412 yr Author Checked my scenery library, have no freeware mesh. Do you remember what your free mesh was and was this issue also at the Taxi3Gate LTBA Airport?
March 29, 201412 yr It was the one from Taburet-Ferranti, http://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/2291/fsx-europe-mesh-srtm-scenery-v2-all-parts/ It's 4 bgl files named "n60e30_n30e60_1.bgl" and so on. I never had issues with this mesh, until I installed the T2G LTBA scenery. The surroundings of the airport were just like you described, a "rollercoaster", with ground areas sinking too much and unrealistically. I unchecked the Europe mesh and the problem disappeared. March 29, 201412 yr I have the FSGenesis mesh and see exactly what the OP describes. I will not disable the FSGenesis mesh because the sunken areas are not on the airport itself but only effect some nearby areas of Istanbul... DJ
