Fatal error when creating an IFR flight plan V2.2

Featured Replies

May be I am missing some thing. Is this conversation is regarding  regular FSX Flight plan to intercept P3D v2.2? If yes, I have no problem with  Flight Plan and it is working perfect with P3D v 2.2

Yes, you are missing something. The built-in flightplanner of Prepar3D v2.2 was 'broken.' When anyone tried to create or save a flightplan, P3D v2.2 would CTD.

asanal,

You were lucky then.  An awful lot of us had the CTD when we tried to save a flight plan.  I applied the patch and "all is well".

Here are screenshots for my way how I am filling  P3D 2,2 flight plan. May be , it  will help some  members.

1- I use FsBuild for FP planning ( you can use any others)

2-Open P3D v2,2 select "Vehicles " you want to fly. My selection was MJS8q400CJC (Continental)

3- Cockpit View ,Left Top Corner Open "Flights" and Click  "Flight Planners"

4- Flight Planner screen click on LOAD

5-it will take you "Load Flight Plan screen" Disregard "C:\ Sanal\Prepar3Dv2 Files" Just click BROWSE"

6-It will take youto " Browse for Folder" screen

Find "Flight Simulator X Files and click on folder

7-It will take you P3Dv2 Flight Plan and find  KALB-KCLE

Thank you for sharing your technique and results.

However, you are still missing the point entirely. Before the latest "hot fix" no one was able to create and save a flight plan using only the built-in flight planner functions.

Opening and importing a flight plan from an external source was never a problem, and has nothing to do with the issue being discussed in this thread...
