April 13, 201412 yr Does any one know if there is a Kai Tak airport addon for FSX. Also, if there is, does it have the surrounding community included so that I would be able to get a feel for approaching over those buildings? thanks. Rob Marton
April 13, 201412 yr Have you looked at FlyTampa? www.flytampa.org Best regards,--Anders Bermann-- ____________________Scandinavian VAPilot-ID: SAS2471
April 13, 201412 yr Author thanks would you know if it is still possible to program an rnav or ILS approach for this airport in an FMC? (given that the airport no longer exists and would not be in the airac cycles) Rob Marton
April 13, 201412 yr There is a tweak out there for PMDG aircraft and some of the EFB's have VHHX too. I use Aivlasoft and VHHX can be added to it. As in the real world though the ILS only brings you to the checkerboard. You're on your own for the right hand turn to rwy 13. Fly Tampa adds a lot of scenery to the city too so it's quite stunning... Here's a couple of screenshots. https://www.dropbox.com/s/rfiigpcfvjb0wcs/fsx%202014-04-04%2016-05-53-95.bmp https://www.dropbox.com/s/hl5fd0ovt2s197e/fsx%202014-04-10%2013-18-11-65.bmp
April 13, 201412 yr You can't go wrong with that Fly Tampa one, it's superb. Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
April 13, 201412 yr Be careful. if you pick up Flytampa Kai Tak you will end up buying all their other scenery, might get expensive.
