February 7, 200521 yr Great job Marcus! See the front page! :)And to everyone else, if you haven't see the "Why I fly" video, do so! This is the video that we showed at last year's convention in Denver and it was a big hit!
February 7, 200521 yr Oh my gosh Tom... what a nice jesture on your part. Now I just need to let the air out of my head a bit and to warn my website provider of the onslaught! :D
February 8, 200521 yr Hello All, Well, I for one have been around since FS5 and I can tell you that after being now reminded of what we had, to what we NOW fly, boy!I think anyone who wishes to slam MS about FS, needs to go look at all of these and see where we first started -- and then look at the realism of what we have now. It's a real eye opener and really makes you appreciate what we now have and enjoy. Thanks, Microsoft!Best to allClay
February 8, 200521 yr Thanks for the great link!!!Certainly brings a lot of memories from my still functioning C64... :)But what I would realy love is the preview of Fs2095. Does anyone has a time machine i can borrow? ;)
February 8, 200521 yr Woohoo what a great link, thanks for sharing that! Here's a pic of a couple of FS books I've owned since '86 :( The Flying on Instruments book was so fascinating as it was my first introduction to instrument only navigation. That book covered VOR, NDB, ILS, DME-ARCs, and circling to minimum approaches. Unfortunately the PC version of FS lacked and ADF and NDB's so those approaches were out of the question.
February 8, 200521 yr Hey Marcus -- I LOVED your video called "Why I fly!!!" . I wish I could produce something like that!!.Could you tell me what mesh you were using in that video and what area of the world it was flown in?Thanks Barry
February 8, 200521 yr I remember thinking how great FS5 was when it came out. Now look what we have. It really puts things into perspective. Can you imagine what FS will look like in ten years? February 8, 200521 yr Author I'd really like to see those. Maybe the nice folks at AVSIM could spare a little bandwidth so that we latecomers could get a look at them. JimBob"Master of the Sr. Moment"
