Whatever one thinks of Skorna, I think he's being attacked unfairly. Dillon talked smack, with his put your money where your mouth is comment, and Skorna responded, and then was accused of being the inflammatory one. Why don't some of you guys go pick from the dozen or so high quality P3D-optimized, clear-eula study-sim airliners available inside your superior sim, and beat it. You're all just talking s*&(t now.

I'll use the simple 'Dislike/Disagree' button and explain myself this one time like some have requested knowing full well diatribe will follow. That's why a simple 'Dislike/Disagree' says allot more and cuts down on drawn out fights.

Actually I think you helped me with tech support for Active Sky years ago.  Avsim accidentally deleted my long time profile about a year ago, but I've been around for a while.  You can say whatever you want, and not worry that I'd be offended.

Skorna actually succeeded in helping somebody with Tech Support for Active Sky? :lol:

Yes, people can go back and re-read, and I did, from the beginning. Originally, even I took the outrageous step of agreeing with the scoundrel Q_flyer in that if maf, the original poster, hated FSX so much, then he should move on to something else. He explained that it wasn't an option for him. You pressed it, and were a bit pushy about it (as you always are whenever the subject arises), and he explained that he was a PMDG flyer. Skorna, in post #45, just makes a factual statement that maybe the P3D option isn't an option, and that P3D is not without it's own issues. A fair response, completely in line with the discussion, imho.  I kans reed, and I kans rites, and I fail to see what is being twisted.  And as an aside, if you want to hand out "Thumbs Up" to some of the most tasteless, irrelevent, and juvenile posts on this thread just because they happen to be pro-P3D, then it only reflects on how blinded you are by your own biases, and maybe you should ponder that a bit, before just dismissing it outright.

Thanks mad dog, but it would be impossible for me to get offended on a flight sim website.  You couldn't pry P3D away from my cold dead body.  And weirdly, I feel an amusement for people stubbornly hanging on to old technology similar to when a young hot athlete get's married to an ugly woman at a young age and doesn't recognize their folly. 

 

This reminds me of the kind of talk from the 7th grade when bigshot adolescent boys talked as if they were Long John Silver, even though they were virgins, too young to grow facial hair, and needed Mom to drive them on their first date.  So no, I don't think your contributions are pertinent, appropriate, correct, or relevant.

Skorna didn't run crap, quit the contrary... I chose to take the high road and not get into a long meaningless debate (I've done that too much in the past with both of you.  You know what my position is, no need to re-explain it).  Posting snarky comments and baseless facts is not 'running it'.  You can't be serious defending a static platform that the developer basically abandoned to something that's currently being supported and worked on.  Yes it still has minor work to be done, actually evolution never stops.   Every issue FSX has for the most part has been addressed in P3D and if not a fix is being worked on.  Skorna likes to rattle cages and you just like an all out fight.  I said this a month ago that I wouldn't comment on anything you have to say anymore because your just itching for a confrontation.  You and Jim can go play in the sand together and like each others posts...  I'll let the mods vet out the fight baiting you continually like to pull.

There's a lot of talkers big here. And when I have to listen to big talkers, it makes me thirsty. And when I get thirsty, it's time to catch up on the last 2 episodes of Game of Thrones, so I'm up to speed for tonight. Guten abend, meinen flugenzoids.  I'd be surprised if this thread is still around tommorow, but if it is, maybe I'll drop by to see how much a fool some people have managed to make of themselves.

Facts are stronger than opinions. You claimed P3D is nearly perfect and I showed in about a minute and it may not be as perfect as you stated.

 

FSX has a ton of stuff still working in its favor and it is still the best entertainment flight simulator out there, bar none.
