Most Desired/Favorite Airliner FINAL ROUND

Recommended Posts

Well, for me if it were between the two I would choose the 787. To me the A380 seems like something out of the past while the 787 looks like it belongs in the future. Not that I don't like the A380. I still have not seen one in real life, and I would love to. I have seen quite a few 787's and would love to see the huge whale.

I am Boeing through and through so it kills me saying this but between those two... A380. It is still amazing that mammoth of a plane can fly. The engineering done on it is remarkable. Every time I see one I try to imagine how much weight and stress is put on those wings/bolts.

I read somewhere that you can fly the 777 and 787 with the same type rating. That means that this "shared-rating" shows that the systems on the 787 are very similar to those of a 777.

I really do hope that PMDG consider the 787 in the future...but AFTER the Dash-8 100 which I'd absolutely love. I mean you just can't fly to awesome places with a big jet.

They're already busy for the next 3 years at least with the current planned aircraft.

Don't get me wrong, I'd also love to see the A380 but I guess "they" would first have to make an A320 or 330 to get a basis to work with. And I'm not sure if Airbus is too keen about providing the required data to random software developers. But as said above all of this would only be cosidered after another 3-4 years that the 747 and other projects that are currently in the pipeline would require.
