May 1, 201412 yr Probably a long shot, but I haven't had freezes since I uninstalled FSRecorder. I hardly used it you see, but I assume the dll would still load with fsx?
May 1, 201412 yr Or does default FSX AI also have schedules that sometimes calls this aircraft and at other times calls that aircraft. I am testing from a saved flight....so allways at the same time. So time can not be a factor why I see no freezes at the moment (Airline AI only). Rob Robson
May 1, 201412 yr Commercial Member Huh? You mean FSX default AI is good, but addons can be buggy? No I mean the ATC/Ai control is good. Maybe some people have default AI that works fine and for others it is buggy. Nope. I have NO addons installed!! Just because you have no addons installed does not detract from my point which basically says; FSX Ai code is good, but planes can be bad. Also you can get an addon airport with airline codes selecting Ai, whereas another system has not got the same airport and codes. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
May 1, 201412 yr I get the long 10 minute freeze, then the timezone completely changes and the whole thing "resets", however the flight then goes on at normal.. I don't lose and FMC settings or anything like that... is that what others get? Brent Lewis
May 1, 201412 yr No I mean the ATC/Ai control is good. You are yoking right.....dont answere that. FSX ATC totally sucks. Which is why I never ever use it. No idea why you brought ATC up .Nope. Yep, come have a look! Just because you have no addons installed does not detract from my point which basically says; FSX Ai code is good, but planes can be bad. Also you can get an addon airport with airline codes selecting Ai, whereas another system has not got the same airport and codes. When I say FSX AI might be buggy I dont care if it is the code or the schedules or the airplane textures. The term "FSX AI" includes all of those factors. Like I said, I dont have any addons installed...no airport addons either Rob Robson
May 1, 201412 yr Rob, I've been there before: A couple of weeks from today and you'll start imagining things - just like me!!! What happened to AVSIM
May 1, 201412 yr Rob, I've been there before: A couple of weeks from today and you'll start imagining things - just like me!!! Hi Olli. Been where? freezes? still have them? How did you fix them? Are you saying it cant be AI traffic.....was/is AI a factor for your freezes? thx Rob Robson

I don't care if you wouldn't spit on it. You missed my point entirely - never mind. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
May 1, 201412 yr Hi Olli. Been where? freezes? still have them? How did you fix them? Are you saying it cant be AI traffic.....was/is AI a factor for your freezes? thx Hi Rob, my freezes go on. I've been testing various assumptions and suggestions - to no avail. I just can't find a pattern that is consistent, so it can be reproduced, tracked down, and finally be fixed. Must admit that Steve's explanations make for a good explanation why I've found it so hard to explain those freezes to myself: Varying 'active' AI flightplanes, ever changing AI planes around, using varying airports with different airline codes all over my flights. What happened to AVSIM
May 1, 201412 yr Commercial Member Sometimes we have to pare the sim right down to bare essentials to eliminate all the possibilities. Like I said, first thing I do is lop off the Ai Traffic, and the scenery and test again. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com

You missed my point entirely - never mind. I think so too. I appreciate all the help anybody gives, but when you talk about ATC and airport addons.....I just dont see how that helps me. I dont use either. thx anyway. Sometimes we have to pare the sim right down to bare essentials to eliminate all the possibilities. Like I said, first thing I do is lop off the Ai Traffic, and the scenery and test again.See, this is where you confuse me. When I say "FSX AI might be the problem, might be buggy" - you answere nope. As in, definately impossible! And yet you advice to turn it off?? I am with you on the "bare minimums" which is why I am using default FSX scenery, clouds and AI. Rob Robson
May 1, 201412 yr Commercial Member You did mention My Traffic, and I was letting you know that you can have confidence in the FSX Ai/ATC system, don't fret. When I say "lop off the Ai Traffic" I mean the aircraft and traffic management addons. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com

May 1, 201412 yr Commercial Member My point was meant non-specifically, there are others reading. You're touchy. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
May 1, 201412 yr Commercial Member 4 flights with 4x accelerated flight. (I let it go for about an hour). Two flights without any AI - no freezes Two flights with AI (no cars) - freezes A bit early for a final conclusion, but a tendency for sure. "Two flights with AI (no cars) - freezes" - you turned up the FSX traffic slider from zero? This wouldn't mean there's a bug in FSX ATC/Ai. Presume no airport or scenery addons? (ATC/Ai - denotes difference from ai-aircraft/scenery) Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
