January 18, 201511 yr I have a few general questions regarding SweetFX and a new video card: Current config today > Win7, FSX/Accel DX9, GTX680. In a few days > GTX980 arrives, replacing my GTX680. I *think* the GTX980 card is an upgrade, but may be a downgrade for DX9? I really don't want to go DX10 having used (with minimal problems) DX9 for so many years. Would I be best off to use DX10 Preview in FSX with the 980? Will I likely take a performance hit staying in DX9 with the new card optimized for DX12? I'll wait to run SweetFX until the new card is installed. Any suggestions or opinions are appreciated. February 21, 201511 yr I am and have been an avid user of SweetFX and cannot enjoy flying without it. I do however have a problem after a major reinstall of P3D 2.4 . SFX works fine as long as I don't access any menus. P3D reverts to default when I use either the menu bar or the right click menu. Your thoughts? Thanks! Having exactly the same problem, but seems that nobody here have an answer to help solve this. Any ideas?. February 21, 201511 yr Hi Chik, hopefully it will. For the moment, I'm remaining with my P3Dv2.4, until most of the addons are made compatible with v2.5 (PMDG 777, 737, ASN, REX, iFly B747 and some others). If you're successful with SweetFX and P3Dv2.5 please let me know. March 16, 201511 yr Because i have always some issues with the shaders i use a batch script that deletes my shaders folder every time i start P3D. Maybe that is the reason for not having this problem. SweetFX is working always even after loading a new aircraft. Sven
April 8, 201511 yr Ok; I`m enjoying a great tweak for my FSX DX10 using the sweetFX. But my FPS dropped a lot. How do I get back my FPS???? What other tweak I need to do. I had followed your step-by-step: http://simtweak.com/ Thanks for the support into our community. Thiago
April 13, 201511 yr Author By undoing what you did. SweetFX itself most likely didn't hurt your fps, but if you added AA settings to inspector, then that might have. I apologize for not replying lately, I've been crazy busy at work.
January 30, 201610 yr I have now followed the instructions to install SweetFX! A handful of questions: 1/. Why, when I press "Scroll Lock", does the ATC panel come up? Never happened before. 2/. I installed for DX9, but what happens if I also install for DX10? 3/. I have an Intel HD Graphics Card, but am I reading correctly that SweetFX can only work with a Nvidia Graphics Card and thus I lack Nvidia Inspector? 4/. Should I uninstall SweetFX based on the current Intel HD Graphics Card? Only just starting to learn about DX10 as the intention is to purcahse the FSLabs Concorde-X v.1.3. Would appreciate any assistance before I go to far. Thank You.
