Only if you want the plan to show in the Default GPS, I see you are using the NGX, be aware that PF2000 strips out waypoints that it feels are to close together when it compiles the plan, this is why the  Adjust FS FP for PF2000 option exists, it basically creates a sync'd FSX plan prefixed With PFE_ so that your GPS or FMC plan will be the same.

As you are using the NGX you will be entering/loading your plan into the FMC.

here is a tip that may help, browse to \PFE\FS2000\ADV, in there you will find files with the extension .brf and .gps both of thes files for your flight are worth having to hand both while you fly and program you FMS

The .brf file contains the frequencies for the various controllers at both Departure and arrival airports.

The .gps file contains the waypoints of your flightplan.

those .brf files and .gps files are extension files and i can't open them

everything seems to be working fine. am not that techy where will i find that?

What soundcard are you using /

you will find the option in your soundcards driver panel, if you are using the onboard soundcard it will most likely be a Realtek chip and there will be an icon for it in control panel, normally titled "Realtek HD audio manager"

But your head set recieves its sound from your PC, If your PC's sound source is set to surround sound there is a "slim" chance that the sound is being sent to another speaker pair in a surround set up.

Your headphones however only have two speakers unless they are actual surround sound gaming headphones and are most likely plugged into the green socket on your motherboard or soundcard.

This socket is for front left/right speakers or headphones.

That said, if default ATC and FS crew can be heard you should also be able to hear PFE, do you hear any output from PF2000 when it compiles the plan ?

I have gaming headset turtle beach!

I can everything from pfe except atc speaking to me?

Vernon Howells

Under options#1 is your ATC volume turned up ?

Can you hear the ATIS when tuned to it ?

When you select another pilot voice in PFE, do you hear the being voice played to you ?

Wjhat is the version number of your PFE, latest is 2.15.0, you will see it displayed on the opening PFE screen ?

You may need to contact Dave March over at oncourse software as I feel you may have a bad install of PFE (not unknown for this to be the case)

SIDS and STARS: Section 7.2.15 and also section 8.16 of the Manual.

The PFE manual can be found under \PFE\Help\ProFlight 2000 Emulator.PDF

It would seem that you basically cannot be bothered to read it, If that is the case you may as well write off your investment in PFE as you will not get it to work.

The same will also apply with Radar Contact, well maybe to a slighty lesser extent as Radar Contact has fewer hoops to jump through but it still requires study, as does ATC in the real world.

Thats because you have the Voice slider turned up in FSX > Settings > Other Settings > Sound,

whilst in there check that you have the correct sound device selected.

Something is happening! you have contacted ground for a radio check and ground has given you one. (default key 6)

All that is wrong is that you are contacting the controllers in the wrong order.

You need to first request clearance, (think of this as filing your flightplan)

then you will need to contact ground to request taxi.

First steps:

Tune ATIS

then

Contact Clearance (for all the controllers the default key for initial checkin is zero) Section 16 in the Manual

then

Contact Ground

then

Contact tower

then

Contact Departure

then

Contact Center

All of the commands are in the Manual  Section 27 Appendix A

Some folks learn better by seeing rather than reading, Grab a beer and watch Dave Leesley's

Video tutorials over at oncourse software forum

You will get there it just takes a bit of effort, but you have paid for the software now, so may as well get stuck in learn it

And its a program that once mastered you will get enjoyment from for years to come.

I purchased Radar Contact in 2005 , PFE in 2007 and have used them for every flight since, mostly Radar Contact but PFE gives a nice change of pace, does not tell me off so much either which is nice.

These types of programs have a learning curve but are very much worth the effort once learnt.

Stick with it.
