March 9, 200521 yr 1. Overcast layer transparency2. Better ATC altitude awareness in mountainous areas. Approach vectors to mountainous airports (KSLC, KRNO, etc.) frequently include many climbs and descents because ATC doesn't seem to be aware of higher terrain ahead. On departure I've been vectored directly toward rapidly rising terrain, then given impossible turns or climbs when the "controller" recognises their mistake.3. Very simple: When assigned a descent below FL180, center controller never gives local altimeter setting. Altimeter setting is eventually given by approach, but a descent below FL180 should always be accompanied by altimeter setting.
March 9, 200521 yr Not a bug, an enhancement: improved instrument refresh rate in the virtual cockpit.
March 9, 200521 yr Not a bug but it'd be nice if they'd go out and buy some of the utility software that's out there such as Rwy12 object placer and include it with the installation so scenery designers don't have to qualify their installations with it's usage. Sure seems like a program like that is becoming a standard. Also, from a scenery design standpoint, a much improved SDK with all the secrets exposed.Art Martin
March 9, 200521 yr 1. Mower Field MT 84 outside Kalispell, MT Altitude incorrect.FS9 Altitude shows 4005 Ft. Correct Altitude About 3036 ft.2. The airport at Thedford, Nebraska (Thomas CountyAirport) is shown in FS9 as 6N8. The correct andnewest designation is TIF according to the FAA.3. The airport at Mullen, Nebraska (Hooker Country) isdepicted in FS9 at elevation 3265 ft. The only runway appears in an artifical bowl. This is probably incorrect unless the location has been changed from the Hooker Co. Fairground area.Larry

MMMMM Never been to those places, and most likely will never be....1. one BUG corrected: ATC Vectoring in zigzag on approach. The rest for me are wishes for the next version... but that is not the question asked here...
March 9, 200521 yr "Contacting approach control prior to entering B or C class airspace while on a VFR flight plan"I second this earlier post from Mike S(KPDX)Jack
March 9, 200521 yr Make the thing feel fluid graphically. Those (graphic) micro stutters when in turns, moving on the ground or near airports make the thing so unrealistic.
March 9, 200521 yr The ability to request an alternate runway and not have ATC tell me to go to that runway only to do a circle to land.A good example would be this situation:I was inbound to McCarran. The wind was from 010. Naturally you would go to runway 1L or 1R. FS told everyone to go to Runway 7L. I asked for Runway 1 only to have ATC say "expect vectors to runway 1L, circle to land runway 7L."Man, that doesn't make sense.
March 9, 200521 yr The simulation of Garrett engines, that would help developers a lot in future projects that would eventually go out ;)Regards,
March 9, 200521 yr I would like to see the undocking procedure revert to how it was in FS 2002. It's a pain to have to go to windowed mode to undock then go back to full window.Jim
March 9, 200521 yr I would like to see an upgraded learning center. Since I have purchased many add-ons I have had to self teach and learn from the forums. But it would be great to have the Kings show me how to perform Star/Sid approach/arrivals with the FMC. The list would go on for the learning center. Then we would all know how to do complex procedures correctly.BTW, Steven, in order to complete your runway request, you must ask ATC for the approach to your new runway (e.g., after you have your new runway, now call ATC back and request approach to the new runway), then you will not have to circle to land, you'll have vectors to final of your desired runway.
March 9, 200521 yr It would be great if we could separate the ATC audio from the rest, have it on a headphone and have engine/other audio on speakers. Oh, and different languages or at least accents when flying in a foreing country.Leo

What you were asking for was a different approach that's why you didn't get a new runway. You have to ask for a new runway as well.
