Looking forward to the Linux version.

How many more sims ?  I haven't even tasted the beauty of canada and europe in X plane completely. and now the whole world in Aerofly

Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus

... well sounds very interesting!

Although i enjoyed flying around in Aerofly from time to time, i did not - yet - recognized and/or used it as a serious alternative for my FSX/XPlane set ups, but - i like it for what it offers, hence i am really hoping a lot that Aerofly 2.0 will raise the bar further and become even more attractive for even more flightsimmers.

Thanks a lot for mentioning this great news here - i am certainly going to keep an eye on it!

haven't you checked Prepar3d V2.3  yet?  :)

I like it because looks visually better, has enough add-ins now ready from FSX, has less CPU utilisation (doesn't need so much overclock anymore and less heat) , more GPU utilisation then FSX , 3D fog and 3D clouds , and many ... many.... more

Prepar3d V2.3 should be available as FSX update of ~ 5-15$. For what it is, it's way to expensive.

You've got to be kidding its basically FS11 and Microsoft wouldn't have given that way for $5-$15. $60 for a totally modern sim isn't that expensive considering each new call of duty is $60 and has a lot less to offer.

Hello!

Sure i have tried P3D - but a way long back by now (stopped at Version 1.4 if i remember correctly).

Now, to avoid any misunderstangings:

I, personally speaking, have my reasons for not (yet!) switching to P3D (again) by now as i am a real happy camper with my current XPlane and FSX DX10 flightsims - but(!):

This does not mean that i have given up on P3D or anything - just to make that clear. It is just, You know - with all the PMDG birds and other stuff involved and also other technical considerations such as carefully tuned and customised settings that i really like, i am just not ready to make the "jump to P3D" by now - but then again:

I am certainly keeping an eye on P3D for sure - but also, to get back on topic here -  on AeroflyFS - and others such as Outerra for instance, but ... that is not the topic here, so let's head back to AeroflyFS!

Enjoy flying and happy landings.

so let's head back to AeroflyFS!

Yeah  I have AeroflyFS on PC and on Ipad.  I play it more on Ipad because it has more planes.  Hope they will put all planes in PC version.

They've confirmed that all the iPhone/iPad aircraft will be on the PC version of aeroflyFS 2.0 with some enhancements.

There is no question about it that Flight Simulation is back in vogue and experiencing a true renaissance. Its been a long time coming. Personally, I think it is partly due to the decline in the general quality of emersion in video games in general in favour of eye candy and then indeed the decline of eye candy in favour of take the money and run. I loved the first version of Aerofly FS and I will pick this up in a heart beat when it is released. Competition at this part of the cycle is great and will bring great rewards for us long suffering FS enthusiasts. It is however a cycle and in about 10 years the bad old days will return when the competition dry's up the profit. :-) Chances are that I will have everything I want. Heck, I already have nearly everything I want. Welcome to the golden age of FS self indulgence.

I was away for one week so I just read about this. On Facebook they posted an update where they confirm night lighting with runway lights. The iOS version will be released this year, while the PC version is targeted for 2015.

Good news.

The flight dynamics did need some improvement. Rudder response and effect on flight in particular, in my opinion.

I so much would love someone to come up with a better, more intelligent mesh... I came to just hate the MS square mesh with its blurry, underwater-like aspect on slopes and drops. Triangles maybe?

Weather-wise, I also hope that someone will try to have cloud decks rendered as mesh rather than as 10 miles wide fluffy areas...

I liked Aerofly from the first edition though. Simple, straightforward, light and often immersive. Including on the ground!
