NGX service pack?

Featured Replies

Correct me if I'm wrong but is there also a service pack due for the NGX as well? I just have some vague recollection but could be wrong.

There is plans for updating the NGx with some of the new technics of the triple. As far as I know however there is no time frame set on this. I guess the team needs a rock solid version of the triple first before they will start on the next SP for the NGX. I'm not gonna do any guesstimates on the eta :)

It's told to come after 777 SP. I'd wait till the dust settles.

Clean up 777 issues > push stable code to the NGX.  Something should really be in a sticky about it.  It's getting kinda tiresome re-typing the same thing in different threads...

I think that we might be able to set a record for most topics created concerning one thing that has been discussed numerous times!

The search function is your friend.

I am speechless

I am pretty sure that there is not even a start date assigned...forget the due date..it makes sense to allow them to settle down the 777 issues and then come back after 4-6 months and ask this question..

On a sarcastic note I was thinking if it makes sense to email the sticky topics to everybody once a month like updates on 777,737 etc...

If I understand correctly that is actually a good idea. Sort of like a newsletter for the month addressing what is being done etc.?

PMDG clearly needs a donate button so that we can throw some extra money on them to hire more devs to get updates ready earlier to reduce the occurrences of these threads. Right?

Seriously speaking: when I think about it I would actually be ready to pay a small amount (say 5-10$) if they actually port (all) the T7 features (WX, comp link, better performance (for me)) back to the NGX. You know bug fixes are (have to be imho) obligatory but they really put a lot of effort into those feature updates… Maybe I’m starting something we don’t really won’t though

Best,

Markus

In case of new update yes..but if no update then resend the same old thread once every month like news letter..

And if people still ask the same question then send everyday..with an option for people to opt out..and if people still ask the same question then once again they get added to the list and being fed the same information everyday..this will definitely cause some frustration but they will realise how frustrating it is to see the same information or same question being asked everynow and then..please take this post in good humor..
