Emails sent out.  And you're welcome of course... We do support our stuff, usually above and beyond but I am... "crotchety"... oh well.

Good to hear. Been meaning to dust off the B55, stop being lazy and install it into P3D and see how She goes.

Also, while we're waiting for word on the fix for the lack of bezel graphics in the 750+650 options, I noticed that the GTN has the sound turned off upon installation of these panels.  Easy fix, just load up the GTN configuration program and cycle through the sound option for whatever panel you want.

Once this gets sorted out, I plan on flying the B-55 for a good part of August. ^_^

Okay, please read the following very carefully.

The "sound error" issue(s) are the result of me improving the Milviz_Sound system to allow for greater flexibility. As a result, those customers who are installing either of the two "update packages" into an original C310R or B55 purchase will be affected with this because (1) they have the "old" sound system, (2) the SND files are in a different folder path, and (3) the install folder name for the aircraft has changed.

I deeply apologize for this gross oversight on my part. I am going to spend whatever time it takes to come up with a workable solution to this problem, as well as updating the current "full installers" to take advantage of the new sound system.

Hopefully I'll have a new set of installers for the Flight1 and Mindstar 'upgrade' packages available later this afternoon. This is my highest priority!

Bill, any word on the lack of frame bezel graphics for the B55 Flight1 750+650?  Mine just show black with no textures, while the gauge inside loads fine.

Yes, I found an omission in the installer's script. Even though the six bitmaps were present in the installer build folder, I found I'd not written the lines of code required to load them.

I sent Colin updated installers for all projects by 2pm this afternoon. Also, while I was at it, I updated the full installer to convert both the FSX and P3Dv2 installers to use my newest sound module, so you might wish to do a fresh download of both whenever Colin makes them available.

However, I have "engineered" the Flight1 GTN and Mindstar GNS installers to work correctly whether one does a complete re-install or not.

I am prepping and then sending them out now.

Two clients were sent bad ones and I am having to figure out how that happened... Almost done.  I will post when it's all fixed and ready!

Thanks for your patience.

Alright... PHEW... that was a LOT of work.

All clients of the product(s) have been sent their links and now, it should all work.

From this point on, we will be asking for a proof of purchase as we will need to update the files for usage with these.

They will also do some small updates to the sound gauges which can interfere with some of our newer products,

Again, I thank you for your patience.

Not so fast !

Well I just received the email, updated File

I also re-downloaded the file MV_C310R_Fsx as linked in the email.

The F1GTN file installs to C:\Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/...

That is not where my FSX is, it is in my D:\ drive, and it is not a system problem, I re-installed the 310R minutes before and it went into the correct drive and directory.

I also see no bezel graphics in any folder, and, if I move the incorrectly placed folders and files I still get no bezel graphics.

Sound issue is good now though.

I would like to buy the 310R and the upgrade for the GTN GPS's. Could you guys (Milviz) let us know when it all works and is safe to download.(I too have FSX installed on a SSD drive that is not C)

Thanks

I purchased the C310 from Simmarket and B55 from Flight1.  What proof of purchase would you require as I am not sure I still have the email receipts sent by the respective companies;  and should I send them to you before purchase or afterwards.

Thanks,

Sean

1. I'm not disputing your results, but am trying to understand how and why this is happening...

The path to your FSX installation is determined the same way in both the C310R FSX installer and the Flight1 GTN installer, and that is by reading the Registry entry.

ReadRegStr $INSTDIR HKLM "Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\flight simulator\10.0" SetupPath

It just doesn't seem logical that identical methods could produce such polar opposite results.

2. The nine bitmaps for the GTN units should be in the aircraft's ..\texture folder. They are named:

  1. cockpit5.dds
  2. GTN_650.dds
  3. GTN_650_bump.dds
  4. GTN_650_LM.dds
  5. GTN_650_spec.dds
  6. GTN_750.dds
  7. GTN_750_bump.dds
  8. GTN_750_LM.dds
  9. GTN_750_spec.dds

3. There is always the option to manually correct the installation path retrieved if you see that it is incorrect. Simply type in the corrected path before continuing.

In any case, thank your for your report and rest assured that I will be looking to see what is going pear-shaped.
