P3D v2.3 vs. XPX 10.30b8: KSNA to KCNO

Featured Replies

Keep up the good work for FS2004 efis.  I have both X-Plane 10 and P3DV2, but prefer the overall look and feel of X-Plane.  I also wish the default ground textures would be improved especially in the desert areas of the southwest United States.

WHOA those are awsome!!! Now I want X-plane thanks for making my wallet cry lol

I know its a hassle but once you start P3d open the task manager and find the p3d process and right click and select set affinity, make it use all of your CPU cores and I promise your blurries will be  a thing of the past!

I believe that from 2.3 P3D now sets the CPU affinity to all cores by default, unless of course you've manually edited the config file to specify a different affinity mask.

Look this video.

Extreme graphic realism, total blurry absence at any distance, awsome environment with realistic colors, and very important 64-bit software (bye bye OOM).

P3D is a good simulator, but is not "modern simulator".

Is "equal" to FS2004.

It 'an old 32-bit code, as FS2004!

FS2004 (year 2004) was a 32-bit.

P3D 2.3 (year 2014) is still 32-bit.

This is absurd, it's been 10 years (not 10 months!) and we're still using a simulator 32-bit.

Well in my opinion with all respect for P3D, x plane 10 is better simulator with a lot of capabilities, 64 bits version can take use of the modern hardware, a lot addons free, multi platform Win Mac Linux, excellent flight dynamics.

Great shots Efis. Are you using Real Terra Haze? If so could you share your settings?

Sorry Mik75, but this test is not realistic.  ^_^

Why used MaxxFX with XP10?

MaxxFX is absolutely the worst addon that exists for XP10.

This addon does not improve the graphic realism of XP10.

This addon does not do a real environment.

This "XP10 cartoon style" is real?

Is good?

The best XP10 graphic is obtained with "Real Terra Haze" (freeware), "FlyWithLua" (freeware), and Simheaven scenery (freeware).

Not MaxxFX (payware).

This is the true power of graphics XP10 (without MaxxFX).

This is the real XP10.

That´s quite funny, because you used some of my screenshots and my video (Beautiful Approach into Geneva), and on all of them, I used MaxxFX.

It´s worth noting that I do not use any of the sefault presets that come with the plugin, I always use my custom settings!

Well I wish one or both of you would share your RTH settings...

Mik, your screen are very beautiful.  :good:

But have strange colors and lights.

The range of light level and shadow level is... "disconnected".

The color of the sky is very blue, maybe too blue.

I prefer a sky color more "soft".

Another example.

These screens have little light, too dark.

We need more light, Nik, more light!   :(

I am sure that your XP10 can do better.

I am sure.

Best regards!  :drinks:

Note: in the video "Beautiful Approach into Geneva" your sky color is perfect!
