216 divided by 4 is 54. 216 divided by 3 is 72. Hardly think ANY MS key is 54 or 72 characters long, but maybe so!!

You are allowed 2 installs no matter when they were made, even on 2 different computers at the same time.

 

Seeing that WAY more time than 6 months has passed since your last activation(s) you will be good to go now, or in the future!

I am afraid that many software products may eventually go the way of the music industry and the ebook industry.  Digital music and digital books continue to get cheaper and cheaper as the intrinsic value of digital products, which is $0, is realized.  This will drive new creative ways to monetize the websites that deliver the digital material.  I have recently read a blog about how market pressures may soon force Microsoft to offer windows for free. After all, Linux and Mac operating systems are essentially free.

Doing a phone activation from these here neck of the woods consists of giving the MS rep 8 cells of 6 numbers  a total of 48 numbers. The rep then performs their magic and gives the user back 8 cells of 6 numbers (48 numbers) making a total number of 96 number iterations from both sides of the communication.

 

Therefore activating three products, Windows, FSX and MS office = 96 x 3 = 288 numbers transferred.

 

Due to my SSD failure the whole process had to be repeated making the grand total of 288 x 2 =  576 number transfers with nothing less than 100% accuracy.

 

I should also mention that I haven't yet had any mail from MS shareholders thanking me for their increased share yield due to my spending $39.95 (minus production transport and retail profit) on a spare copy of FSX.

The intrinsic value of digital products is in perceived content - not the media that moves it.  If beauty has value it is intrinsically priceless...
