September 8, 201411 yr Hi, I upgraded my computer with up-to-date hardware and reinstalled FSX and the 777. No matter what I do, either with uiautomationcore.dll (tried at least 3 different versions) or without, when I quit FS I get a CTD with the fatal error message once every 3-4 times. Any recent advances on what may cause this? Is it something unavoidable with the 777? Thanks. James Goggi
September 8, 201411 yr Have you tried Flight 1's Registry Repair Tool. It's been known to fix the issue your having. Fixed it for me in the past. Tony Simpson FLYING FROM EGKK, The worlds busiest single runway Airport.
September 8, 201411 yr Author Not tried, but do you think I need to repair the registry, after a fresh installation of Win 7 and FSX? James Goggi
September 8, 201411 yr Not tried, but do you think I need to repair the registry, after a fresh installation of Win 7 and FSX? To be honest I don't know. It only takes a few seconds and it's free so worth giving it a try. Tony Simpson FLYING FROM EGKK, The worlds busiest single runway Airport.
September 9, 201411 yr I sometimes get this problem as well. I solve the problem by just ignoring it or closing ASN before closing the simulator And UIAutomationcore.dll is only for CTDs caused by clicking the menus not all CTDs
September 9, 201411 yr I see this on occasion as well, and not sure if ASN is involved or not but the bottom line is it crashes on exiting the application; so what? No harm done. Dan Downs KCRP
September 9, 201411 yr Commercial Member I see this on occasion as well, and not sure if ASN is involved or not I've seen some people mention ASN being the culprit if you close FSX without closing ASN first. but the bottom line is it crashes on exiting the application; so what? No harm done. That's my take on it, as well. Kyle Rodgers
