Maybe checkout things before start complaining and drag this scenery down into mud, in VC PMDG 737 on apron i have around 45-55 fps, VAS usage, around 1700mb free.

Is the island itself supposed to be pitch black during the evening/night? Yes, I see some white lights from the houses, but overall its very dark. It seems that the only lively thing in this scenery is the airport itself. I live in Tromsø and the island give away a lot of light. I hope there's something with my settings, but the FTX 3D vector lights were far better imo.

This is what I see:

It's a flight simulator, not a light simulator  B)

I have no idea if the look is correct or not with this scenery.

It bugs me though when I see people comparing night photographs to the scenery. You cannot compare a photo to what the eye sees (or is supposed to virtually see).

With a camera you can set the shutter speed/ISO and so on that can make the same image appear very different with each picture, light/dark in each shot. Literally night and day!

Here are some shots I took in San Diego a few years back, and you can see how much the different settings can change how light/dark the scene looks....

I think you have a point when it comes to all the effects e.g. different exposure times might have but Fi5kuS actually mentioned that he/she is living there. And if it was the case that some more light sources would help with the night impression, why not write that down?

After all, this is the 1.0 version so changes can/will still me made, following some constructive comments.

This is what I see with Night Enviroment Norway (I have replaced original photo ground that came with Tromsø X with my own). I loooove the night and of course the beautiful scenery of Tromsø

Yeah I agree the Night Environment package gave Tromsø a much better look, but the one delivered in the Tromsø X bundle was horrible.
