Update:  I tried the missing textures fix but stutters are still there.  Guess I'll d/l the new installer and see what happens.

Steve

Uh-uh!

EDIT: Just tried the same aircraft I had issues with earlier, the PMDG MD-11 KLM repaint, at KORD, and unlike last time when it was just one continuous stutter all the way to the Runway, this time, after the download and re-install of the installer as recommended, it seems to have done the trick, the rider being it was just a very quick try-out from gate to taxi-way, and got better FPS daytime. Will try night next time.

Good news!  Did you install over the old or uninstall/install?

I just re-downloaded the installer from FSDT and re-installed it on top. Now, this evening, I tried a different repaint MD-11 cargo, same KORD airport, same night scenery, and got around 12-19 FPS right up to taxi when it improved to the 30s after take-off. As for the stuttering every few seconds, that seemed to have disappeared, but why when I switched the logo light, or the beacon light they would not illuminate till I did a re-boot, well, is another matter fro which I have no clue.

Then, as my Gigabyte GPU GTX560Ti, -----which according to Gigabyte in Ca., where I sent it back when visiting Nv., was supposedly replaced under warranty,----- decided to just lock up with the very same fault, and thus I lost that flight.

Will try again, tomorrow and Update.

Ooooh...OUCH, sorry to hear that  .  Thanks anyway, and I'll go ahead and install over the older ver.  Good luck on getting that squared away.

Yeah, I pretty much stay with ASUS motherboards, always work great.  Now as far as O'Hare, I'm ready to give up, used the latest installer and still lots of pauses.  I don;t get it, I've got many payware airports and some are pretty hard on frame rates, but this is the ONLY one that gives me these pauses and stutters :( .

Hi Steve

Aircraft: PMDG MD-11F

Airport: FSDT's KORD

As promised. Update. Stutters not as bad as it was previously. In 2D/VC getting around 19-23 FPS, in External View Locked 16-18FPS. At the KORD cargo gate, night, raining heavily, I can zoom-in/zoom-out  the VC panel and in exterior views. However, the minute I am on the taxi-way to Runway 28, those stutters, albeit not as pronounced as before are still there. But the worst part of all is now, I lose use of the keyboard ATC call-up, the use of -/+ to zoom-in or zoom-out, yet strangely, I had it at that gate. And I have tried all the suggestions within this thread, i.e Ctrl+-, Ctrl+ +, mouse clicks within the window, etc, etc.

And it is only happening at this airport. Now, where do we go from here cause you too are having issues after trying?

Rick Almeida

Do you have scenery for Midway airport also activated?

Yes, I have the FlyTampa KMDW and it works great...........why do you ask?

Beats me .  Only thing I can think of is go in and remove all the FSDT KORD files and THEN run the installer instead of over the old files.

KMDW and KORD activated together might be a lot of strain, like having KLGA and KJFK paywares active a the same time.  Suggest try disabling KMDW and see if there's an improvement

Hi Steve

Right, it seems the issues I have been having with the MD-11F FS2Crewed at KORD-----i.e. no zoom-in/zoom-out of the VC or exterior views, or the ATC keyboard shortcut---- are not just applicable to KORD, which I originally thought it was. It's just happened exactly the same at another FSX airport in the Middle East. And oddly enough, using the Button Version of the FS2Crew for the PMDG MD-11, it only occurs in the last 15 mins of the clock countdown to Before Start. Weird to say the least. And I have no idea where to go looking for the fault. And that after doing a complete re-install of the MD-11.

Yeah, I thought about that but honestly I have more fun flying into Midway anyway  . I can get the 737ngx in there just fine so really I'm not wasting more time on KORD for now. Actually I might disable KORD so I don't get pauses on approach to KMDW if anything  .

Thanks Rick and everybody,

Steve
