April 16, 200521 yr Haven been looking at Cloud 9's newly-released Aviano scenery -anything else out there?ricardo
April 16, 200521 yr there is a good copy of Edwards AFB (around 1990-97 when I was there) thats for 2002 but works great with FS9http://www.fsfreeware.com/cgi-bin/dcd_a/dc...ly%2Fkedwv1.zipand the patchhttp://www.fsfreeware.com/cgi-bin/dcd_a/dc...Fkedw101fix.zipand one more patchhttp://www.fsfreeware.com/cgi-bin/dcd_a/dc...%2Fsbasefix.zip

April 17, 200521 yr I have the Aviano scenery from cloud9 and it is very nice with low impact on the frames, ell worth gettingThey also included Treviso base with their MB339 Pan aircraft.this military base is not far from aviano so they go nicely together. For the United kingdom there are RAF bases in gary summons UK2000 series of airfields. Also you may have a look at Alphasim site, they appear to have about 24military bases at $9.00 each they have a mix of RAF and USAF basesbut i dont now what they are like for quality and frame rate.
April 17, 200521 yr Author Thanks, guys; will check those out. I don't suppose you can create campaigns and missions within FS9?ricardo
April 17, 200521 yr no you can't. It's not a military battle simulator. And no, you can't drop bombs and shoot things either :)
April 17, 200521 yr Joroen, But it is a flight simulator and the military does fly airplanes last time I checked. Remember a mission for an E-3 is to go somewhere and fly around in circles, while a mission for C-17 might be to fly fromShaw AFB to Iraq to deliver supplies. April 17, 200521 yr >no you can't. It's not a military battle simulator.>And no, you can't drop bombs and shoot things either :)Actually, it is possible, there were a few warplanes with droppable bombs and the Apache at Hovercontrol will fire it's gun, drop flairs and several other thing resulting in fires on the ground...Oh, and the aerosoft A10 also has these features
April 17, 200521 yr Author I just bought the Aerosoft A10 Warthog and FSCloud9's Aviano scenery, and after doing a quick look-see, I must say I'm very impressed with both products. The Aviano scenery is very easy on framerates. The Warthog is heavy-duty in terms of taxing the system, but it's still flyable. ricardo
