December 16, 201411 yr That was really nice. The process was so smoothly interpreted and executed. I did not know that they would ask technical questions to air controller as they did here. I am assuming air controller was reading from the same book as the pilots. Bob Officially retired
December 16, 201411 yr I think the phone call was to there company technical team not Air Traffic Controllers. Great video, obviously they could be a lot calmer in a 4 engine aircraft than in a 2 engine aircraft although I am sure in the latter case it would be handled in the same way, may just diverting to a closer airport. I saw/heard the phone call, but I thought there were questions asked of what appeared to when using their headsets. Guess I will watch again. Bob Officially retired

December 16, 201411 yr How convenient that they had a camera crew installed for that situation.... Maybe it was a simulator with some very creative editing. I don't know we all saw the readings on the pfd's. Bob Officially retired
