Night Environment X Configuration Manager (NEXM)

Featured Replies

I've just installed British Isles v1.7 and I have a configuration manager of sorts, as shown below ( sorry couldn't get it all on one screenshot )

The upper section:

The lower section:

My question is - is this everything that I am supposed to see ?  The discussion here seems to indicate a lot more options are available than I have available to me. In this link...

http://www.nightenvironment.com/nexm.html

... there are options such as star lights, car light beams, lateral lights...and below that, an ability to vary the lighting on different types of roads.

I see none of the above options. Is the full NEXM not included with British Isles v1.7 ? I'm running P3DV2.5, by the way, along with Orbx England, Scotland & Wales

Hi Paul,

first; thank you for your support!

the features you currently see in v1.7 are as expected for v1.7,

our next v1.8 update rollout will include the other features you've mentioned, http://forum.avsim.net/topic/471055-aerosoft-night-environment-germany-v17-update/page-3#entry3262935

the features that exists in France v2.0 are different standard then v1.x line and requires a complete overhaul of all features and textures,

the time required to complete a region at v2.o standard is no joke; it is time consuming for the entire team;

which is currently working on Germany in v2.0 standards,

but it will take some time to complete this project; no less than the time spent on France,

Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up, Chris. :smile:

Is this currently available for download?

yes  :smile:

Where? I couldn't find the link?

 Me either. I purchased California but havent used it much because of performance (I was answered on the Aerosoft forums but the suggestions didnt work very well). I think this tool may make me give it another shot.

Let me guess.... you want 64bit.

Gents, the new version is a new full installer!

it is not an update applied over the existing installation,

you need to download the latest installer through the shop where you originally purchased your region from;

the shop should have the new updated installer which is free for existing customers,

each updated region will have the latest NEXM preinstalled

note - you will need to uninstall the previous version first,

I’m sorry about that little confusion,

NE CA wasn’t yet released as v1.7; it is expected to be released soon,

(i don’t control the order AS publishes them)

in total there are 5 NEXM compatible regions available at the moment

Germany, British Isles, Florida, Massachusetts, and France

Germany and British-isles were recently updated to v1.7 from v1.1

Florida and Massachusetts were released as v1.7 initially

and France was released as v2.0

no worries Mark,

all existing regions are lined up with Aerosoft to rollout their v1.7 update
