thank you Jaime

yes; we intend to cover all NA states

this year we will focus mainly on US regions almost exclusively

will likely be completed somewhere mid next year

on our support page you can see the states we are currently working on

and their status (see legend at the bottom)

i should probably add some technical pages on my site

we don’t have a special instructions for working with ftx or utx

the manual should have a short mentioning of this

generally speaking; we have no compatibility issues with any existing product

that’s mainly why there's no technical pages about this

we add an exclude file for ftx lights with every active NE region

this is transparent and requires no special configuration by the end user

if NE region is active; it also activates third party light exclude instructions specifically for that region

utx lights are switchable from within their configuration tool; on a regional basis

i thought you might like that

Hi Kevin

you should know by now; we dont do anyting random

traffic lights placement are derived from real world vector DB

Chris, you know me by now, never ask a question that I dont know the answer to ;) I know you use good data, just meant is it rw traffic light locations, or approximations based on vector road data? :)

Kevin Firth - AMD 9800X3D; Asus Prime X670E; 64Gb Cas30 6000 DDR5; RTX5090; AutoFPS

placement is not approximate

you can see how they are placed in these shoots

the circles point out some intersections traffic lights that just changed their active color (Red,Yellow,Green)

Am I to understand that I should turn off Lighting in UTX for areas that are covered by "Night Environment" ?

yes you should

Looks great.  Is it possible to add LODs to the lights?  For example, freeways should be visible for a large distance.  But some of the other lights should only be visible within a small radius.  Maybe this could also help with frame rates.

the lights do change with LOD

what your asking doesn't make sense

the lights around you will always be on

yes you should

I looked in "Lights for UTX Interface" and found no way to turn off by region. Is this the wrong utility? Thanks for your help in advance.

Now this is what I call customer support. I love the customisation many many choices to choose from and I will also have to purchase more regions :)

i dont have utx installed here;

to the best of my recollection you have the option to switch lights off with utx

you could send an email to AS support they will guide you how to deactivate utx lights

i am not that verse with their software

Hey guys,

I've been playing with both these programs today, that's an easy one.

It's comes with two confit programs - one for the general scenery and one for the lights. It's the second one you want, just look in your start menu program list under flight one, run that prof and turn them off.

By the way, in prepar3d v2.5 I'm not sure the exclusions work. I can run utx Europe v2 and NE Italy (which I've been doing today) and get the two sets of lights together, if I'm not mistaken.
