GTN750 for P3Dv2.5 released

Featured Replies

Just to be really accurate as far as FPS loss with the GTN750, I have measured the time required for just the GTN750 graphics (with the calculations running on a core other than #1 that P3D uses mostly) and have found it to be about 3.5 milliseconds in MAP mode with some terrain showing (on a 6 core [email protected] with Nvidia 660ti). This implies that if you were at 20 fps on average, you would see a drop to 18.5 FPS on average. At 40 fps, it might be more like a drop to 37 fps. This will be hard to measure when flying what with all the activity of terrain loading and other changing activities. It might be different on other CPU/GPU combinations

Eric, I did mention that just after the bit you quoted.

Sorry, you are right.

I was clearly an impatient reader...

I have to say after doing a flight last night from EGJJ-EGGW that this GTN 750 for me is one of the best addon ive ever bought, to program in SID and STAR and the Vertical descent page turns the Turbine Duke into a mini 737.

Everything worked great with little reading on my part, the only thing I did not get was a GS. Will have to read up on that.

I hope they will bring out cross feed.

What a stunning addon this is.

If it's an ILS approach, make sure the NAV radio is tuned to the ILS and hit the 'CDI' touch button on the GTN, that way you'll intercept the GS
