Can anyone download the P3d versions of the GTN? Myself and at least one other person who posted on the official support forum cannot.

Thanks Ryan. I'll try again. Tiberiu (one of the Flight 1 guys) said on their official forum that the problem is being caused by a high server load.

Wow, P3d is really gaining steam.

I think after a couple more developers get on board ( I won't mention the ones I have in mind) with P3D, we'll see a mass exodus to P3D.....just my theory B)

Who are the remaining holdouts? PMDG and VRS were the last two of note. Much of what's left  that work only with FSX are legacy products that are no longer in active development. That's still a significant group of products, but that situation is never going to change.

Ok , confused.  With the advent of the Duke T for P3d v2.5, time to get the GTN.750.  Now the main Flight1 pages lead to the GTN750 for $50 - where it says in version 1.7 p3d gauges compatible with 2.5  However, further down the page just talks about FSX etc and SE.  The link above however goes to F1 technologies for a specific P3D version (labelled as 2.2 and higher) that goes for $65.

So which one - if the main download page one will install in 2.5 then fine but is the page updated properly?

Thanks, that was quick - it's a pain having to pay more for the P3D version, but would have been worse paying for the one on the main F1 pages and finding it wouldn't work . . and paying again ;-(

In their defense, Flight1 have a great refund scheme. if you request a refund within 30 days of purchase, you get your money back no questions asked. If you buy the GTN, be sure to get signed up to the offical support forums over at simforums.com a lot of helpful people over there.

Since I am going to buy the Realair V2 tonight

What is the FPS hit with the 750?

Thanks again, forgot that - and I have a ton of stuff from F1 . . . Now if only a bit more was for P3D as well - know some works, but officially. Oh for the Mustang

No detectable hit with the 750 - you can assign different cpu cores for it - kinda cool

Ryan does it come with upto data Nav and can it be updated with 1502 etc?

It really has no FPS hit? really?

EDIT just watched a review and it comes with only USA terran and you have to buy a DVD to get world wide.

nvm. Not at that cost just for the duke.

NyxxUK, it's not entirely true about the navdata/terrain anymore. Garmin released a version 5 of their trainer very recently with the *FULL Worldwide Terrain* data included for free. (I was one of the idiots to go out and buy the Garmin DVD..only for Garmin to release the bloody terrain data for free about a week later...ugh!) It's possible to 'extract' this and the Navdata from 2014 from the v5 trainer to use in the F1GTN - Have a look at this post - http://forum.avsim.net/topic/459680-gtn-750650/page-8#entry3172004

If you do this, just make sure you do not install the version 5 trainer, it won't work with the F1GTN, only the v2 trainer works. Flight1 have confirmed that they're updating the GTN to work with the v5 trainer but in the meantime... ;)

BTW, which video did you watch?

Flight1 is working on a (free) update for the GTN750 based on the new Garmin V5 trainer. So for the patient users the full world terrain database will be available in the near future (no release date known yet) without having to juggle yourself. :)

Eric, I did mention that just after the bit you quoted.

Still, never underestimate the impatience of Flight Simmers... ;)

I'm doing it - there was no problem using similar to update the RXP nav data with a later GNS trainer base.  Tim-HH post looks easy . . hah!
