Best MD-80 series available in 2015

Featured Replies

Howdy all. The Maddog has always been one of my personal favorites. I know there are a handful of products out there for us to choose from, so I wanted to ask here for advice. I am running FSX SE, and am admittedly spoiled with PMDG aircraft.

So in your opinion, who has the best mix of visual and systems detail, that is compatable with FSX SE? Thanks guys.

To my knowledge, there is no as yet, any MD-series airplane for SE, comparable to Maddog systems and PMDG visuals.

Which Maddog product do you mean when you mention systems? I have been pretty lucky getting things to work in FSX SE so far and might be willing to try it. After all, I am in this for the "in the pit", VC experience. As long as the VC is tolerable, I am interested. :)

He's probably talking about this: http://www.flythemaddog.com/

Yep, Leonardo.

I don't know if Coolsky will 'update' their installers for DC9 Classic or their 'Super 80' series. I haven't any.

I'm not sure about the Super 80, but there is a patch for the DC-9 on their forum. It works fine for me.

Try Xplane10 B)

:o Wow, that is simply amazing. That might actually make me take my Xplane 10 past the demo stage.

The Leonardo Maddog has the best combination of graphics and systems when it comes to the MD80 series in FSX. The graphics are quite underwhelming, luckily the systems are excellent. It's a great, if slightly aged, rendition of the MD80, highly recommended
