June 30, 200520 yr Hey I have been getting into the Bush mind set and was wanting to know if anyone knows of some good payware taildraggers out there.Looking for good detail and good flight characteristics...Was thinking about the Scout at Real Air... But also thinking about that pilatus porter PC-6 from FSD International... Thanks,
June 30, 200520 yr I have and love the AEROSOFT Beaver. Comes in amphib, float, ski's, tundra wheels and regular wheels. Many config's livery's too.Avsim review>>>http://www.avsim.com/pages/1104/Beaver/beaverReview.htmlAnd the product Page>>>http://aerosoft-shop.com/product_info.php?...products_id=52&XP Home SP2Asus P4P800-SE Intel 3.0GHZDDR 400 D/C 2x512MBLeadtek 6800GT 256MB (71.84)SB AudigyMSFF2 & X45 throttleSee you in the fence...CYYZ Al Stiff
June 30, 200520 yr Why payware?have a look at Maule M-7-260.Can be found at http://files.fsnordic.net/Flight_Simulator...neral_Aviation/some 60MB and you have tail or tricycle, normal, tundra or float...But otherwise yes, Pilatus or Beaver are on top of the list.Dan
June 30, 200520 yr The RealAir Scout and Decathlon are magic - not the mention, the trusty MAAM-SIM DC-3, of course, which can fly in and out of most places if you learn how to use her properly - but other than that and those that others mention there are plentiful freeware offerings. Just go hunting in the library. The Maule, the freeware Beavers, Piglet's stuff ... loads of it.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a] _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM

June 30, 200520 yr The Realair's Decathlon is unvelievably good. This aircraft came out at the same time..I was flying one for real. Its almost creepy..how good this one is.When you are abeam, you throttle down to bleed off speed to say ..70. and then you trim to keep 70..and then you are turning base making sure..you don't put the nose down and increasing speed while at it... right about this stage.. the aircraft loses some altitude kind of fast in the real decathlon.. and by golly... I get the same experience with the decathlon. Its ..like I said..creepy. (I mean good by that) Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
June 30, 200520 yr Also the just released freeware Beech 18 file D18SVC. There are repaints already available, one for "bush" pilots and I believe one with floats. Check the library.
June 30, 200520 yr Well, I bought Bill Lyons WACO, when it was payware, now the same aircraft with or without floats is freeware, and still just as good. It is one aircraft that I enjoy flying the most after several years.

Thanks, Josh
June 30, 200520 yr Gents, Thanks for all the info I appreciate it... Man I am a flight sim addict deluxe.. :-rotor Ahhh someone stop me.. Before I sale the car (LOL) Happy Landings,
June 30, 200520 yr You might also want to take a look at the FSD Pilatus PC6 Porter, you get both the taildragger version and a floater!http://www.fsd-international.com/projects/porter.htmBest,Martijn
June 30, 200520 yr Roger do you know if that one is a turbo charged version of the Pilatus PC-6.. I have been scoping that one out.. Thanks,
June 30, 200520 yr I believe RealAir has an offer where you get a discount if you get both the Dekke and Scout. Or rather, you get the Scout cheaper if you already have the Decathlon. Both are excellent and probably the best simulations of taildraggers for FS9. I'd start with those for sure. -
July 1, 200520 yr I also love Bill Lyons classic goose.XP Home SP2Asus P4P800-SE Intel 3.0GHZDDR 400 D/C 2x512MBLeadtek 6800GT 256MB (71.84)SB AudigyMSFF2 & X45 throttleSee you in the fence...CYYZ Al Stiff
