I have been thinking about this quite a bit lately. Having been into flight simulation since the days of black and white, I've been around for a while. One aircraft that never seems to be developed to a high level is the ubiquitous Lear 35. Just curious how the aircraft that most people call every business jet, has been looked over? Am I the only one that pines for an A2A, or PMDG level Lear 35? Lionheart put out the Lear 24B, and it is nice. I really like flying it, but it only makes me want a 35 more. I am really curious what the community has to say. Let's hear your opinions.

Would also love a good lear 35, Milviz at one time mentioned doing a Lear,  forgot which one but would love to see them do one?

So many great business jets they could make.  Eaglesoft ia working on the Citation XLS that should be good but not sure how far away.

X plane has a good Challenger.

The Lionheart L24B is awesome if you are into the older, first gen business jets. Climbs like a bat out of hell, systems are decently modeled, and flies like its supposed too. Its certainly not a CTRL E bird. But not top tier either. I could go with the other 20 series option, that includes the Lear 25, but that still isn't a 35, with the Garrett TFE731's. Ive been working on and around GA and Commercial jets for so long. But still waiting for the venerable 35 to make a good showing. I think there would be an excellent market for it.

 

I really like what the guys over at Flysimware are doing with their MU-2 so far. Would be great to see them tackle the Lear 35 and the MU-2 isnt even out yet. Really hoping this bird is better than the recent Hawker release that is sitting in the hangar waiting on fixes.

Off topic question, is their 441 good? I loved the F1 441, but its old and the vc is terrible. Would love a well made Conquest.

I do not have that one. Have never been a big fan of the 400 series Cessnas. With the exception of the 414 Ram with winglets. That would be nice. But to answer your question, I have yet to read anything negative on the 441. IMO, the VC's look a little "cartoony", if that's even a word. I do think it adds character to the MU-2, as they are all old, with multiple upgrades over the years. Systems are supposed to be outstanding. And this is the part I am really looking forward too.

441 is outstanding systems true simulation. Joe the DEV flies both the 441 and MU2 and others in real life and he also gives free on line flight checks in the 441. You cant ask for more than that for $35

Looks like there is a Lear 35 in the early stages of development. I'll let you guys figure out who is doing it.

It's Gulfstream that has that policy. Bombardier, so far as I know, has no issues with simulated versions of their products, though they may require a licensing fee for commercial versions.

 

Every version of Microsoft Flight Simulator for the past 15 years (or more) has included a Learjet as a default aircraft, and Aerosoft will soon be releasing the highly-anticipated CRJ 700/900, which is another Bombardier product.

Lets not forget the other Learjets:

LJ40

LJ45   (default doesn't count)

LJ55

LJ60

 

Any of the above would be amazing. And while we're at it:

 

Falcon 10

Falcon 20

Falcon 50

Falcon 2000 / 2000EX

Falcon 900B / 900EX

Challenger 850   (basically a CRJ 200 with an extra fuel tank and VIP cabin....maybe the CRJ200X crew can help us out?)

None of these aircraft have fully integrated cockpits (like a G1000/3000, PL21 or Falcon's EASY), so at the very least, the VC won't be as deadly on framerates....and hopefully easier to program.

 

I would jump in immediately for any of those aircraft.  Eaglesoft has the Citation pipeline covered for the next while and I'm praying that Dassault forces Wilco to make their 7x properly. It'd be nice to see some other developers jump on board with executive jets, as the airliner segment is (mostly?) covered, or already in progress. 

 

Private jets really are awesome aircraft that go into and out of interesting places. For the realism nuts, any route can make sense on a private jet. They're just as much at home at an ORBX back-country airport as they are at a major international hub.

 

I once saw a Falcon 7x at Toronto Island (CYTZ) on a medevac flight. No jets are allowed at that airport unless it's medevac.

 

I also once rode jumpseat on a Gulfstream IV into KTEB, doing the ILS 06 > Circling visually for runway 01 at the marker, at night, in gusty winds. I got a REALLY close look at MetLife Stadium as we turned final....lot's of obstacle lights around as well. Not many opportunities to get that experience in the commercial world.
