July 14, 200520 yr Author JustFlight offers a guarantee. If you buy direct from them you get a money-back guaranteehttp://www.justflight.com/en/(db5j4iz5enoa...4ji)/index.aspxSo don't condemn all publishers. Gerry Howard
July 14, 200520 yr Mike boldly stated:"That almost leads to a discussion, that download buyers are stupid enough to buy a product right after release. In the meantime I tend to agree with that." I agree with that too. In fact, I'm one of the dummies that buys things 5 minutes after they are released :-) . I've been burned a couple of times but, somehow, boredom with the status quo always overcomes my better judgement - and so the search continues. I just know that the next GA aircraft released will be my last...sigh...DougEdited 'cause I can't spel Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. July 14, 200520 yr I neither wanted to condemn all Publishers nor JustFlight in general. Sorry if it has sounded like this (although I think there is *SOME* truth in my general remarks).I felt irritated about JustFlights 707 announcement, to put it mildly. The 707 in its current download version state should not be accepted by any publisher. That's it.Mike
July 14, 200520 yr Author JustFlight are not releasing the 707 Professional until 5th August. So how did the critics get hold of it? If they haven't, maybe they should wait until the product is released. Gerry Howard
July 14, 200520 yr wait for what??? IF it is a "new" version then we who purchased the downloaded version with no guarentee should be outraged. The "critics" have every right to vent their frustrations at a developer that went from top notch to perfect flight
July 14, 200520 yr Author Wait to see how good/bad the JustFlight version is before critising it.Previous problems with Captain Sim are a different issue. Gerry Howard
July 14, 200520 yr It is the understanding, and perhaps wrong, that this is the Captain Sim version with NO updates. I think many would like to be proven wrong, and then of course would like a fix for the version they already have. :)Tony
July 14, 200520 yr Author It's still only an understanding. If it's right then JustFlight seems likely to have to make a lot of refunds. If not, then those who bought the Captain Sim version have a problem with Captain Sim. Gerry Howard
July 14, 200520 yr What are you talking about? This is the Captain Sim 707, but it's being sold on a CD by Just Flight.Jeff Jeff Commercial | Instrument | Multi-Engine Land AMD 5600X, RTX3070, 32MB RAM, 2TB SSD

July 14, 200520 yr Hey Paul,Not to worry my friend, ole "Drac's" has got your back! The truth is just the truth, nothing more or less. Oh and great points you made, eloquent as always.BestClayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. Dopke (Clay)Major, USAF (retired)"Drac"
July 15, 200520 yr Commercial Member Thaugh I'm not too sure about the eloquent part.....there's plenty that say I talk a load of #### ;-)EDIT: I love this swear word filter thing, stuff that's a bit off over here in England is OK to say........I might have to push my luck and see just what I can get away with :-lol Cheers Paul Golding
July 15, 200520 yr Author I don't know and, until it's released, you don't know it's the same aircraft.I might have expected this would result in a personal attack. To clarify the matter I have no connection, nor have I ever had any connection with software developers or publishers. Gerry Howard
July 15, 200520 yr I didn't read through all the posts, so I'm sorry if you were "personally attacked." However, I still don't think you understand, the product that we are talking about IS the Captain Sim 707. Jeff Jeff Commercial | Instrument | Multi-Engine Land AMD 5600X, RTX3070, 32MB RAM, 2TB SSD
July 15, 200520 yr Author TonyB said earlier:"It is the understanding, and perhaps wrong, that this is the Captain Sim version with NO updates. I think many would like to be proven wrong, and then of course would like a fix for the version they already have."My response was:"It's still only an understanding. If it's right then JustFlight seems likely to have to make a lot of refunds."My point is until it's released no one can be certain if it's the original version or not. Gerry Howard
