June 18, 201510 yr The good news. I don't have to fly your sim and you don't have to fly mine, and we're both happy and convinced we have the best possible sim available. Can't argue with that! Very well said! Just one fact more: Please have in mind, that nowadays FS9ers rarely get wild about the stock FS9 installation. Most use installations that have new textures, new clouds... as example: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/452602-fall-in-the-carpathes-ukraine/ ... just a FS9.5 or even 9.X! It's not a random choice to show a Ternopil' - Uzhhorod flight. There should hardly be that choice of sceneries and other add-ons for any sim as for FS9. And regarding my person: I'm just too lazy to built another sim that way I have done with my FS9 installation. Have fun, each with his/her preferred sim! June 18, 201510 yr And FSXers rarely get wild about the stock FSX installation! Most use installations that have new textures from Orbx, REX, weather from AS, traffic from MT 6, new vector data, and mesh from multiple sources!!
June 18, 201510 yr Says something about it if you need all those add ons to improve over fs9. I can tune a bog standard 80's Ford Escort to outperform a modern Focus straight out of the factory, I'm not going to willingly drive the Escort on a day to day basis.....
June 18, 201510 yr Says something about it if you need all those add ons to improve over fs9. It says the same thing as your tricked out FS9 does, that there are multiple ways of improving the FS that we like to use!!
June 18, 201510 yr Why I choose FS9 - bit like a Mercedes - doesn't need tuning and outperforms both. So you haven't added a single thing to your FS? Oh, wait, you have done some major tuning!!! Ah, so you've used some stuff from FSX? It must be better then anything from FS9!! I'm here just to mess with you!
June 18, 201510 yr Sorry if this is duplicated.... Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
June 18, 201510 yr Why I choose FS9 - bit like a Mercedes - doesn't need tuning and outperforms both. FS9: Perhaps a Mercedes, but not a Mercedes you'd want to be seen in
June 18, 201510 yr I bet it wouldn't suffer from OOM's. All FS9'ers suffer from OOM... Out Of Money That's why they don't get the far superior and newer sims...
June 18, 201510 yr Love this thread! At my age, it's better than a wet tee shirt contest ..... well, almost anyway .....
June 18, 201510 yr All FS9'ers suffer from OOM... Out Of Money That's why they don't get the far superior and newer sims... Or Out Of Multivitamin.... Nurse!!!
June 18, 201510 yr Or Out Of Multivitamin.... Nurse!!! LOL... I would just say Out Of Meds in general... Old people really have a hard time embracing change and letting things go....
June 18, 201510 yr Author I wish I never started this thread. I was just saying I couldnt get on with the cycle views in steam. I didnt like the wide spead view or wing view looking at the aircraft which was all out of proportion. The start up page? Just prefer FS9. Also the PSS stuff doesnt work which I thought it would. I managed to edit and install some AI which worked OK though. Steve
June 18, 201510 yr Guess you really didn't offer the trolls anything!! Au contraire... I'd say that's what he gets for starting a thread with no real purpose other than trolling, no matter how he wants to disguise it...
June 18, 201510 yr <Troll_Mode> If an FS9-SE were to be developed in a similar way to FSX-SE, would anyone here be tempted to try it? </Troll_Mode> Tim Wright "The older I get, the better I was..."
