Matt has made a comment on a Hornet video concerning HOTAS setup…
"Note that we’ll have a unique control category called “HOTAS” in the Hornet mapping. This will make it very easy and fast to map your controls to best match the real HOTAS. This is just like we did for the A-10C. Once the TM Hornet stick is out, we’ll set default bindings for it."

Sounds great but how many of us can afford this TM gear??

I certainly cannot.

I believe this will be an add-on stick to the original 8yr old TM Wart hog kit,I cant see the attachable stick being that expensive,Maybe we'll see some news with Hornet release and E3 coming soon.

It looks really incredible.

Besides purchasing the F-18 Hornet addon, is it necessary to purchase DCS as well (or addons for it)?

Sorry folks, but I'm completely new to this.

No, the default DCS World is free. Included are some "lighter" aircraft and a map (Caucasus). Everything else are addons (not for free). But the default map + the F18 will keep you busy for quite a while.

But be aware that the F18 is "only" early access, many features will be added later. Still a wonderful plane.
