February 19, 20179 yr Author Can you make this x-plane compatible please? Jay That's impossible since it's a FSX' XML gauge which can't be run in X-Plane. I also do not own that simulator. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days

February 26, 20179 yr Hello! This is a very nice tool, thank you! It is not that easy to understand or intuitive but I think I got it now, so that I can start my first flights... but I have a major problem: I started a company with a DC3 (jan visser) at PAJN- Juneau, my first flight should go to PAGS- Gustavos. I loaded the flightplan into the default FSX flight planer PAJN direct to PAGS. It seems I get no contract from MIT. On "Payload Demand" it shows always 0, even if I negoitate the contract (for this I click on "Payload Range") it always shows 0 sometimes in red, sometimes in yellow or green. I thought maybe it starts later, I loaded some payload into my plane and started flying. But inflight I see that "Contract Income" shows 0 Funds and the expenses are raising. Can you help me what I am doing wrong? Thank you! Klaus Schmitzer i7-14700KF 5.6GHz Water Cooled /// ZOTAC RTX 4070 TI Super 16GB /// 32GB RAM DDR5 /// Win11 /// SSDs only DCS - XP12 - MSFS2020

Did you install the latest version exactly as stated in the documentation? Especially triple check the panel.cfg entries and that they point to the correct location and gauge. Also check the SimConnect and XMLTools installation. If you use P3Dv3, you're on your own as I do not own it and therefor don't know any of its peculiarities (but I've heard about its extremely dumb way of handling third party gauges). 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
February 26, 20179 yr Author Another week, another update Changes: - Contract revenue is calulated before takeoff based on estimated instead of actual flight time now - Actual flight time is tracked from engine startup to shutdown again, as it was a few revisions before - Rearranged some parameters in MI_Tool_Aircraft into a "Basic Settings" category - The net result will only be displayed at the end of a flight Additions: - Flight plan analysis to estimate flight duration based on true cruise speed in aircraft.cfg or indicated cruise speed and flight plan cruise altitude in MI_Tool_Aircraft.xml - Broadened the range for payload scale values a bit to make things more interesting - Estimated flight time is exported to the flight log file - Last flight's net result will be exported to the flight log file This update affects MI_Tool_Aircraft.xml, so keep in mind to carry over and review your settings. March 26, 20179 yr Hello, I've really been looking for a tool like this to breath more life into all my non-A2A aircraft. I am really excited about using this application, but I am having some difficultly getting it to work. I have followed the instructions reading the full manual and double checked my panel configs, even letting the installer work the panel. I installed XML_tools with the installer, and I have 3 versions of SimConnect running (is there A particular version that needs to be installed?) I have FSX deluxe with SP2 and I'm trying to get this working on the Carenado TBM and C337. I've done the changes in the MI_Tool_Aircraft xml as far as crew number, aircraft name and prefix and suffix; and I have selected to disable the purchasing feature. When I start a flight (free flight) I get the Unlock Aircraft window with 0 funds. I am not able to click on anything to get to the Aircraft Status window. If I right click the Used option #2 I get the (Wait) signal, however nothing happens after so many minutes. It seems that Simconnect is not activating the XML tools, or something is not talking with the MI_Tool_Aircraft xml but I can't put my finger on it. My issue sounds close to AndyPaul situation that he decribed when installing MIT on P3D, however I am installing in FSX. Please let me know if there is anything else I can try. Many Thanks!!
March 26, 20179 yr Author Sounds like MI_Tool_Aircraft.xml and MI_Tool_System.xml are not communicating or that MIT_Tool_System.xml is not loaded at all. Check the panel.cfg entries and that the MI_Tool folder in "FSX\Gauges" contains 21 files. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
March 27, 20179 yr Thanks for the Reply Bjoern!! So the MI_Tool folder with the 21 items is installed in my FSX\gauges folder. My panel.cfg only lists MI_tool under window8 and VC01: [Window08] /// Window Start background_color=0,0,0 position=8 size_mm=200,600 window_size=0.15 alpha_blend=0.8 visible=0 ident=39146 //NEVER CHANGE THIS! gauge00=MI_Tool!MI_Tool, 0,0,200,600 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Vcockpit01] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=512,512 visible=0 pixel_size=1024,1024 texture=$Panel_1 gauge00=TBM850_G1000!G1000_config, 0, 0, 1, 1 gauge01=GAUGETBM850!Gauge_CLOCK_DIG, 0, 0, 1, 1 gauge02=TBM850_G1000!G1000_PFDTBMVC, 0, 0, 384, 266 gauge03=TBM850CAR!ToggleCARG1000, 64, 0, 256, 32 gauge4 = MI_Tool_Aircraft!MI_Tool_Aircraft,1,1,1,1 gauge5 = MI_Tool!MI_Tool_System,1,1,1,1 Your instructions did specify using gauge98 and 99 under the virtual cockpit area, however I ran the panel config installer after an unsuccessful try with the manual settings, and it gave it gauge 4 and 5. Didn't think that would be an issue. Also, at the top of the panel config; it specifies: Window08=MI Tool. I was wondering if MI Tools need to have the underscore. From one blog, I took some advice to move the MI_Tool_Aircraft folder for the panel folder and place it under the FSX\Gauges folder. However this also did not work.
