Where exactly and what will it produce?

Thanks

Where, i don't know because i don't use it since i use p3D instead fsx

in the menu, you can set the max altitude for your type of traffic, it s not difficult to find it

What menu? In Air Traffic Optimizer, MyTraffic Communicator or P3D? I can't find similiar option anywhere.

Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.

Hi ErichB

I was having exactly the same issue  .. followed it to the book but no Traffic

So  ..... I did this and it worked

In the Simobjects CFG  ...... Change the MyTraffic entry from   Required=False .. to  ... Required=True

and voila  ... more Traffic than on the M25 at 5pm on a Friday night

Hope this works for you

I did exactly that few days ago and still have the same issue, few planes enroute.

How did you end up with REQUIRED=FALSE?  The MyTraffic Communicator shouldn't be doing that. If it did, then you should post something  about that on the My Traffic official forum, as that issue has never been reported.

Sorry, my fault, it seems that I did it vice versa. It was on true and I've changed it to false just for the test. Either way I'm not seeing many planes while enroute.

How do you know if you are not seeing planes, or they are just too far away. In P3D they have to be less than 10 miles or you won't see them.

Simple, TCAS :)

I use the map in Pro ATC and see aircraft all the time while I am flying. I don't see many of them on TCAS. unless they are close in altitude and distance.

  • 4 weeks later...

I have P3Dv3 running & have got My Traffic 6 installed & going ok.

I had FSX/DX10, MT6 & Air Traffic Manager, (ATM) working well together.

FSX was on an SSD that I removed from the PC & replaced with a P3D dedicated SSD. I can plug the FSX SSD back in via USB.

When I have P3D running and then open ATM, [obtained from the Avsim download: ATM FSX/P3D 1.9.1.4],  I get an ATM 'skeleton' blinking on & off in the middle of the P3D screen. There is no data in it or box identifiers.

I have installed the three SimConnect applications per the DWadsworth post of 11 October 2015.

If I start ATM on its own, I get the following error message:

> Failed to connect - System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80004005) : Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to COM component.

at System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.Throw ExceptionForHRInternal (Int 32 errorCode, IntPtr errorinfo)

at System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.Throw ExceptionForHR (Int 32 errorCode)

at Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect.SimConnect. .ctor (String szName, IntPtr hWnd, UInt32 UserEventWin32, WaitHandle hEventHandle, UInt32 ConfigIndex)

  at AirTrafficManager . Main . openConnection ()

Any help in interpreting the above message & getting ATM going in P3Dv3 would be appreciated.

I wonder if I am meant to have FSX on the machine for ATM P3D to work??

Per the error message, ATM seems to be looking for FSX.

To add a bit more background - I have just plugged the FSX SSD into the PC & run FSX.

ATM found FSX & the 2 airports the flight plan was using, but didn't pick up the quantity of AI aircraft in the region.

I suspect MT6 is linking to P3D , but not FSX,  & ATM is linking to FSX, but not P3D.

So it may be a case of finding how to link ATM to P3D.
