No logical reason at all. On the openlc's product page, they recommend you install vector before openlc. Just a recommendation, so I blindly follow. But I only use OpenLC and not Vector. I thought you maybe thought OpenLC wouldn't work without Vector.

Openlc user here no vector dont like it - sim takes a hit with it loaded on my end anyway - luv all the other orbx products but not vector Rich Sennett
