September 3, 200520 yr Its just fabulous. The night gauge lighting in the vc is breathtaking. Sound is very much to my liking, External and Internal modeling is the best. Just simply the best FSD has ever released. And at 19.95 you simply cannot go wrong with this plane. The bar has been raised once again.RegardsDennis Waggoner
September 3, 200520 yr And it's very frame rate friendly, including the V/C! Seeing how I still use the Athlon 1900XP, I tend to notice these things...L.Adamson
September 3, 200520 yr Amazing rendition of the real thing. All the recent Ga releases for Fs have been magnificant! This is incredible!I was going to buy one of these when I moved up to twins ( a "P" model) till I talked to an insurance broker and fainted at the rates and I took my wife out to look at one and she said "yuck". (I think they are beautiful.....shhhh).In any case I ended up with a Baron-but I think these are fantastic aircraft and unfairly maligned....http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/rxp-pilot.jpg Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
September 3, 200520 yr Very good article on the 337 here: http://www.superskyrocket.com/pages/History/history_2.htm
September 3, 200520 yr Is this one crippled with the same troublesome and user-unfriendly copy protection and restricted access to support as other FSD products? If so, I'd disagree with the statement that "at $19.95 you can't go wrong..." Based on my experience with FSD, it's probably not worth the hassle for half the price.Bob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
September 3, 200520 yr I am having a very hard time running it on my 1.7GHZ, and I get a lock up ever time I try to go into the 2D cockpit, can't even CTRL ALT DEL. I have to pull the plug out.
September 3, 200520 yr It's a beautiful a/c and a joy to fly. Take some time and play with all the hidden features of the VC. You'll be surprised at what you can move with the mouse.
September 3, 200520 yr Could someone take a screenshot of the VC in default "forward" position (no zooming, no turning around) at 1600x1200, crop the image so that only the instruments in front of the pilot are visible and post it here?I'd like to see what the gauges look like at the resolution I use myself. Thanks!
September 3, 200520 yr How is the gauge refresh rate? While I generally like the FSD planes, I tend to be put off by their relatively slow instrument refresh rate.
September 3, 200520 yr >How is the gauge refresh rate? While I generally like the>FSD planes, I tend to be put off by their relatively slow>instrument refresh rate.>>The refresh rate is VERY MUCH IMPROVED.I have NO issues doing IFR in this aircraft. The refesh rate is darn good in the VC and 2D. MUCH better then their previous releases. There's a video in their forums if you want to see some flying from the VC and whatnot.Hope this helps. :) Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
September 3, 200520 yr Author I assume it is. And, for that reason, I've never given it any consideration. The reinstall policy is just too restrictive. I have a number of FSD aircraft I can no longer use and I sure don't need another one.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. September 3, 200520 yr This is a great plane, the flight dynamics are very well done, especially slow flight.I have also never had a problem with FSD licensing and reinstalling. It works quite well, and their support has always been very helpful and friendly with me.
September 3, 200520 yr I never had a single issue with FSD copy protection over years of reinstalls. Apparently some people did and FSD was changing their system last winter and removed installation limits last winter while they were changing over. I don
