September 5, 200520 yr Thanks Doug for showing the guts to apologize. I have edited your earlier post and deleted the reply and your followup. To everyone, please do not name individuals with any company if you have "a beef", and do not reference private email. If anyone challenges you publicly, you certainly have a right to respond publicly. I haven't seen that in this thread, so please keep the personal communication issues out of it. -John

March 6, 200620 yr I must admit that even though the people at FSD are very helpful, all the hazzle I've had with the purchase system overshadows everything else. Bought a new pc some time ago, and unfortunately no FSD plane will install, and I just don't have the patience anymore :(If all my FSD titles (Porter, Commander, 337, Narajavo, Cheyenne, T38) could be transfered to a mean clean Flight1 wrapper and I could reinstall the old Flight1 way, I'd be more than happy to be a FSD supporting customer, but until that (or anything similar convenient) happends, my pc stays clean of FSD planes.Eagle
March 6, 200620 yr I had some difficulties with one of my planes recently. Would not install and would not work in FS9.After some discussion with the guys at FSD, we got the issue sorted. I can understand how they really work hard on these creations and want to protect that investment. Despite the difficulties I encountered, the FSD was very accomodating and patient in dealing with my situation, which as they may have admitted was not my fault at all, nonetheless provided an acceptable resolution to the problem.Great guys, great planes I'll keep them on my list of Groups to check regularly for new stuff.EDIT: Oh yeah, I just picked up the 337 a few weeks ago. It is indeed a beauty and a real blast to fly around in!!

Jason CYOO - Formerly MYNN[br /]General Aviation Fan[br]P4 3.2Ghz, 1GB Ram, FX5900 128MB, XP SP2.[br /][br /] J R (Jason R MYNN) General Aviation Nut FSEconomy Pilot
March 6, 200620 yr I am a member of the large throng of FSD users who have always been treated with respect and and helpful attitude...even when I was too dumb to archive my purchase information or keys.It is odd that the same people who have given me and so many other users top quality customer service, occasionally get accused of providing the opposite. The missing factor in the equation might well be the attitude with which the customers approach the FSD team.I am not suggesting you are one of them...but on many occasions, customers come at the developers with both guns blazing and in such instances, attitude can be met with attitude. In that regard, I think that posting issues here or on other forums without first posting on the developer's own tech support forum is a particularly bad idea.I am not a developer, but I would guess that upwards of 90% of all technical difficulties are "user induced" and many of those "problems" are RTFM related. So, posting such "problems" on a public site must be viewed by the developers as unnecessary and "bad advertising" because that's what it is.It must cause a LOT of teeth gnashing on the part of developers when issues that are actually user-induced appear on the public forums as an actual "problem."Personally, I just don't believe that users who approach FSD in a reasonably polite and businesslike fashion get anything other than that in return from the FSD team.Just my 2 cents.Regards,Jim
March 6, 200620 yr Jim, you find lots of forum threads on this FSD installer problems. That was what kept me away from buying FSD 337 because i reinstall my whole system a lot and add hardware regularly. For some kind of customer (like me) FSD just seems not to be the right choice if you dont like trouble and waiting. I can understand the people that really like FSD product, i think they are great but i although understand the people that have lots of problems with em. I personally doubt that their "special" installer will boost their sales because warez guys have low chances on using it. It will rather scare first time customers away to buy more products. But i dont know the real numbers and this is just a personal opinion, no offense. so, best regards, tom.
