The DNC list is pretty useless because the spammers (who by and large are using VOIP from offshore locations), completely ignore it. They simply call every single phone number is a given area code/prefix, using spoofed caller ID numbers to make it appear that the calls are coming from somewhere in the US. The government has announced that companies will no longer be able to hide behind an 'unknown number'. They must display their phone number when making marketing calls. Hooray!
