Recommended Posts

YVW Arslan,

yes, you can expect coverage in Canada as well during 2016, (provided we keep up with our schedule)

Good news Chris. I think Aerosoft did it on purpose. It allows all these questions to be asked. "The unplanned promotional Strategy"

Just this morning I bought Connecticut & Rhode Island, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Italy.

I already had New York, California, and Florida.

PCAviator has a 10% off weekend sale and a $5.00 off email coupon so it was a win win deal for me....

@Chris:  Are the new releases all coming with a correct P3D v3 installer?

I bought California and was less than amused at the 3-4 step convoluted process to install it and get it working in P3D v3 (which isn't exactly new at this point).

I will definitely be holding off on any more purchases until proper installers are all there.

Thanks

@Chris:  Are the new releases all coming with a correct P3D v3 installer?

yes they will all be 1.71 the 1 denote quad installers, (P3D 3/2, FSX/SE)

Aerosoft rolled these updates out literally a week prior to LM rolling out v3.0; after a very long wait for our turn in the spool,

we are working on alternative way to  provide our end users with faster and live updates directly!

there is a step by step guide how to update 1.70,

i understand i can get technical sometime; what seems to me a simple few steps for some isn't that simple,

prob providing too  many options is somewhat confusing as well; i have made everything automatic for the end user,

you just need to make the right selection; at the time people wanted the option to keep 2.5 as well; hence the multiple option,

in either case once you make you selection; its just a matter of executing the update locally and its all done for you,

i should probably edit it now without the option to keep 2.5 since everyone seem to be ok by now,

there are basically 3 minor issues with none quad installers,

one registry edit needs changing a number 2 to 3,

swap NEXM region config file from v2 to v3

because the installer fails to find P3D v3 in the reg (it just doesn't know of it)

it will also fail adding the scenery to scenery manager in v3.x

Thanks Chris combination of the well known dll lol and disabling shadows at night. (which I wouldn't expect to do anything in the dark )

Thank you very much André,

will investigate further as well as report to LM,

Ive tested this with and without for 3.2; i haven't had and ill effect myself,

i normally disable shadows as part of my night profile using SimStarter :)

Excellent

may i ask for a small favor of you?

i have just edited the instructions for updating; since you went through this and you've indicated it was bit confusing;

would you mind providing feedback on the recent edits i made to the guide?

(it’s not a permanent solution; but it should still be useable in the meantime,)
