April 21, 201610 yr Author Only see partial data , but I did upload and save it. just tagged my first water tower. Now I am going after that chimney. Trees just do not somehow display. These trees are in the city , so I really have no idea what I should tag them as. I am trying leaf_type=mixed, natural=wood hope it works. What I found fascinating is that I can take a similar polygon of nodes which are of similar tags and paste them over that area and just pull the nodes along . But there is a national park up north around 40 kms from my location which is tagged as landuse=forest and that is being displayed correctly. Till now Bombay looks great at least from the west coast. April 21, 201610 yr Moderator Really small forests generally don't work. Try just generating a small scenery with just a single forest and see if it shows up
April 21, 201610 yr Author Really small forests generally don't work. Try just generating a small scenery with just a single forest and see if it shows up There is an area which has many trees so that I have tagged them as leaf_type=mixed,natural=wood. Doing some more construction work once that is done I will run W2xp and check if those do show up. BTW the turf club has trees to the south which shows. and that is leaf_type=evergreen,natural=wood Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
April 22, 201610 yr Author @Tony, Help appreciated here. For city trees what tags exactly should I use ? because whatever options I tag even for a big area they just do not seem to display. Some issues I am noticing , like those 3 buildings which I told you about the similar faith is with other buildings having the same structure , what I have noticed only two will be displayed and the third musketeer won't show up. Don't think I am doing anything wrong here. My OSM file is 500 MB now. Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
April 22, 201610 yr Moderator Go into world-models and look for a file called library.txt, open it up and remove the following lines -- EXPORT lib/g10/forests/autogen_tree1.obj forests/blank.obj EXPORT lib/g10/forests/autogen_tree2.obj forests/blank.obj EXPORT lib/g10/forests/autogen_tree3.obj forests/blank.obj EXPORT lib/g10/forests/autogen_tree4.obj forests/blank.obj This might be the problem. Trees should be tagged as single nodes with "natural=tree" and forests as closed polygons with "natural=wood" or "landuse=forest" and optionally a leaf-type as you've been doing

April 22, 201610 yr Author The west coast of Bombay looks very good now starting from VAJJ heading south along the coast . A lot of elevation has been added to the buildings there. Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
April 23, 201610 yr Author Back to editing. I think the natural=tree seems to be working. But some issues with buildings and amenity places. Got to check if the other users are adding anything on top of that Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
April 23, 201610 yr Author trying natural=trees,leaf_type=mixed. I really need a mesh , I will try, don't if it will work. Guess I can use .shp files with the Meshtool. Don't want the terrain going right till Dubai this time Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus

April 24, 201610 yr Author Having a great flight taking off from VAJJ helipad heading SE towards Lonavala , the area does look good because of OSM coverage like forests and small villages / towns. Have Cumulus Scattered clouds using NOAA and my fps is between 13-18 but I am still flying. Too many mountains kills my fps Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
April 24, 201610 yr Moderator The tagging should be natural=tree and not natural=trees, this might be why they're not showing up
