October 8, 200520 yr I'm on the FeelThere team and I won't let the 777 out the hanger until it looks as good as the LDS 767 (well hopefully ;-), that's a hard act to follow). It won't be a complex add-on like the PMDG 747 but rest assured the visuals will be top notch all the way around.I owe PSS one for not fully updating their A320 series... :-badteeth Just joking... The visuals will be top notch inside and out as well as sounds and many other features. Those knocking the ERJ will be pleasantly surprised FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
October 8, 200520 yr Hey Clay this one is going to be interesting, PSS against FeelThere. It's all in fun and I wish PSS the best. We can't knock something that hasn't been released and even when it does hit the market I know the PSS bird will have many great features that will set it apart. I'm just going to do the best I can on the FeelThere side to make sure that version shines as well...It's great people will have two great choices in a payware 777. There's a good chance FeelThere will release free liveries for their model but as always that's not final nor has it really been discussed. I may need to take a list of what liveries many would want to see on the 777 and present that to Vic (that may sway him either way or just release a paint kit)... October 8, 200520 yr If that were completely true all of us addon developers could stop making models and see where the community advances. You're right, it is hard to fly from the outside, but unless the aircraft you're flying is really unstable, chances are you will have many chances to look outside. Lots of cockpit buffs enjoy watching the replay of the approach from the outside.Reverse the tables and you can see everyone would be whinging, if someone makes a payware model - no matter what the cost - but doesn't offer 'the rest of the simulation' then they're chastized to no end. What about the side that offers the other part but lacks the former? Why do people have such a big problem with one, and not the other?Different people have different expectations and for some (actually, for a lot of people) an accurate model is very important, and it doesn't even have to be perfect. I doubt this is the final model we'll see, but let's hope they make a few changes, hm?Frankly (and not referring to you, but it's a side thought), this state of FS elitism (my payware suztemz iz better than urs omg lolz) is nothing short of the latest annoying trend that needs to stop.
October 8, 200520 yr on the erj, the vc doesnt seemed as textured as most addon.. is it just my computer?? or was it not detailed as well as the model? i love that aircraft and fly it pretty often, its a great plane, but im just curious about the vc on it.Keep up the good work bro. Cant wait for that bird to be out. Chase Barnett
October 8, 200520 yr Mike,To be honest, I'm not on a crusade, and I really don't care about changing peoples' opinions of anything, old enough and wise enough to be delusional. I AM tired of negative thinking ... life is tough enough for many people ... and at my age, I have learned that the "half full glass" is a much sounder approach, and I have learned to treasure what I have. My problem was reading the thread, even though I knew where it was going ... I'm a sucker for this stuff and should know better than to engage. So I looked at the pics, and simply thought to myself ... "Self, a great new 777 is on its way ... if its like the last PSS 777, it will be a great addition to my fleet." Simple .. I don't do model design, panel design or "paint" liveries ... and spend my time enjoyng what I have rather then worrying about the shape of the nose being off, or whatever ... I guess I am just easy to satisfy .. and tired of expending the energy needed to be critical. I do that for a living 60-70 hrs a week.I guess you're correct, because you have a negative opinion doesn't make you a naysayer, and as I said above, I certainly respect your right to a different opinion, and I have mine, and yes difference among people are ok, makes the world "go round" people say.Cheers and regards,Paul BenoitKSAN
October 8, 200520 yr Chase I don't have this problem on my end but I've had others for various reason comment on the ERJ's VC. Personally I like it although I had nothing to do with the development of that bird. That credit goes to Vic and his talented team... From what I see if I was on the team at the time I would have o.k.ed that bird for release just the way it is. What I see on my end is a very detailed VC both day and night. I don't want to say it's your computer but feel free to shoot me an email with a screenshot and I'll see what I can do... :-) FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
October 8, 200520 yr The VC on the ERJ is not its greatest point. Its textures are somewhat cartoony. I love the ERJ and feelThere but the VC on it needs much improving.
October 8, 200520 yr I'll see if the guys are open to releasing an update... ;-) FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
October 8, 200520 yr The model isn't perfect, but who has the money to spend 2+ years of development creating PMDG type packages? Add-ons are getting very complicated, if PSS spent their time on systems programming and performance tuning, that is fine with me. As long as the VC has all the bells and whistles I could care less how bad a model may look. Some people, Eric, for example, create excellent models. But 2d panels to go along with those models are so fs98.I'd rather see more time put into the VC, panels, system functionality, etc. before a model. I don't think I'm alone. I will buy it because I've been looking forward to the triple 7. I just think this complaining about the models is just like the complaints about no wing views for PMDG's Queen. This is a flight simulator folks
October 8, 200520 yr Correct to a point - I just think that if you're not going to put the effort into a decent model, don't sell one. LOTS of people are perfectly happy using a panel with an aircraft of their choice.Sell the panel, give them an FDE to work with - fitted to a variety of popular aircraft (usually only really requiring adjustments to the reference poin), and have at it. Support the panel and FDE, make it clear that model enquiries will not be your problem, et c et c. It's been done.If PSS offers the choice of getting just the panel like they have in the past...then we have a different situation here.
October 9, 200520 yr Hello Mike, Gee, thanks for reminding me that I'm old and falling apart. For some reason, after trying to get out of bed this morning for a half hour before my meds kicked in, I had forgotten that. Then again, the new young stallion I was trying to break today also reminded me of that . . . sooo, get your teddy bear #### down here and YOU gentle and break this young stud.Remember, I've seen you on a horse . . .ROTFLMAO.Best,Clayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. October 9, 200520 yr God i'm sick of hearing people in this forum going on about other people giving negetive remarkes on payware aircrafts so what if people dont like what they see its payware and most people are the same if you buy somthing thats bad you hate it if you buy something thats good you love it thats money for you. Ive seen the screenshots to be fair i was not suprised 2d panel looks ok3d panel looks poor model looks awful just the same as the A340 A330 and the A320 i want buy this plane becose i did own the A330/40 and it was a mess with no fixes and as much as i loved the A320Pro it had very little suport well none but a good 2D panel put that with the freeware IFDG model and its a winner And to the people who dont care for good aircraft models good for you well done if thats the case why not try some ai aircraft im sure some out they look real bad just leave as fussy great model lovers alone Long Live LevelD
October 9, 200520 yr Well, having gotten over my initial reaction :)1. apparently those pics are by no means representative of the state of the product at present - the model has been improved since those shots2. It's still the most advanced 777 panel available - there just ain't an alternative right now, and PSS are no slugs featurewise. So I too will wait on the finished product and then decide - LDS has taught me that a good vc can divert my model loving attention away from even a fantastic external model. If PSS can immerse me sonically, visually and systems wise, make me smell a new 777 pit - I'm in.regards,Markhttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/markrey/lds1.jpgXPHomeSP2/FS9.1/3.2HT/1GIG/X700pro256 Regards, Mark
