May 19, 201610 yr Having that many hard drives in a case is silly. When you need that many drive bays, get a dedicated NAS on a 10 Gbit network, and it'll be much better. This... Would never get a case that big for my gaming PC. Have a separate one as a file server (would never get a "dedicated NAS" device either, just custom built pc) Current one has 12 drive slots

In which case if you favour a super small case [despite the fact it's a bit warmer] no problem. If you fancy a super big case [despite the fact it takes up more room] no problem. A Ferrari doesn't have to look like a Ferrari, aerodynamics aside, much of the shape is because it looks good. The Pagani Zonda looks the way it does because it's based on Leonardo Da vinci's principle of the golden ratio.
