q400 autopilot question

Featured Replies

The autopilot kept disconnecting every other minute, and I'm not sure if it was something I was doing or what?

Disconnecting??  Like a power failure?  Do the lighted displays turn off?  Are your alternators/Generators on?

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱

yes the light goes off for the "AP" button  I don't think those are off I'd have to check.

Its likely because you are pushing a button that was assigned to something else in your simulator - I have the same problem, my change view button in P3D is also autopilot disconnect in Q400.

If I forget and change the view with the button, I'm sitting there wondering why the autopilot disconnected.

Same here in FSX. I have an button assigned to an ezdok view, when I accidently push it - AP disconnects.

Maybe this is the soultion, not tried it yet:

Scroll down to the AP disc problem, there is a solution via editing an .ini file!

That explains the problem I just realized I have on the Q400.

Don't know if it is a 'relatively' new issue of if it has been there lurking.

It is not a problem of the aircraft.  If you have a button that is bound to the same as the AP disconnect then you need to change the binding of that specific function, especially if you are using the 125Hz flight control configuration.
