June 22, 20169 yr Library Administrator Good evening, I have had constant crashing of my P3D over the past few days after NEVER having a problem. It appears that I am having issues after the program has been running for anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes due to an unhandled exception. On viewing my event log I am showing a .NET Framework Version: v4.0.30319 failure but I should have a much more current version. Any ideas? Brian A. Neuman Proud simmer since 1982 using the following simulators: Sublogic Flight Simulator 1 and 2. Microsoft Flight Simulator 4.0, 5.1, FS95, FS98, FS2000, FS2002, FS2004, FSX (and unfortunately Flight!). Terminal Reality Fly 1 and 2. Sierra Pro Pilot, Looking Glass/Eidos/Electronic Arts Flight Unlimited I, II and III, Laminar Research X-Plane 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, FS Aerofly 2, Lockheed Martin Perpar3D 2.X, 3.X, 4.X and 5.X and Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020). Not to mention numerous combat simulators and games related to flight that I have played with over the years. System: Intel I7-7700K-Water Cooled, 32GB Ram, GTX 1080Ti, 500gb SSD, 1TB HD and dedicated 1TB and 2TB SSD's for Flight Simulators

June 22, 20169 yr Author Library Administrator I looked at that, and it totally failed. This is very bizzare, I have never had this problem, and I dont know if I said it or not, the program loads fine, but crashes after anywhere between 30 seconds and roughly 10 minutes. Brian A. June 22, 20169 yr I would disable all entries in your dll and exe files. If it works ok then start to add one module at a time. To me the error looks like an addon causing the issue. Sean Green
June 22, 20169 yr head over to the CTD forumns, plenty of posts on it. Ive had it. do you have fsuipc, and gsx ?
June 22, 20169 yr Author Library Administrator Yes, I downloaded the most current FSUIPC After the crash. And I also have the most recent version of GSX as well. Brian A. June 22, 20169 yr Brian .... How does the crash manifest itself? A freeze, ctd or bsod? Stupidly expensive rig, nonplussed Memsahib, disinterested offspring and a fascinated cat as Rio. XP11, P3Dv3 and an Oculus Rift.
June 22, 20169 yr Author Library Administrator Brian .... How does the crash manifest itself? A freeze, ctd or bsod? I get the error box stating that P3D has stopped working and Windows will search for the cause of the problem...etc..etc...etc. Thats pretty much it. I am debating on just doing a WIndows10 install if I have a corrupt .NET runtime problem. Brian A. Neuman Proud simmer since 1982 using the following simulators: Sublogic Flight Simulator 1 and 2. June 22, 20169 yr Good evening, I have had constant crashing of my P3D over the past few days after NEVER having a problem. It appears that I am having issues after the program has been running for anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes due to an unhandled exception. On viewing my event log I am showing a .NET Framework Version: v4.0.30319 failure but I should have a much more current version. Any ideas? So, you have a Microsoft.net problem. I would run the run the setup dotnet verifier - https://blogs.msdn.m...ol-users-guide/ to make sure your dotnets are properly installed. There's also a dotnet repair tool your can try too - https://www.microsof...s.aspx?id=30135. This info is all in the AVSIM CTD Guide. If you have any incompatible problems installed (you had to install them manually or had to use the EMT tool), then those programs are the problem. You also got a StackHash. It's an evil crash. No solutions except to reformat your HDD and reinstall Windows and then your flight sim and all of your add-ons. Occasionally, some have fixed the problem by lowering their settings. Some have removed tweaks from their P3D.cfg and the crashes stopped. Some have seen double entries in the dll.xml and removed the duplicate and the crashes stop. Some have lowered their overclock by a couple of points and the crashes stop. So many possibilities. I am personally getting a StackHash crash myself. I installed FTX/Orbx Southn Calif and the crashes started. I had my autogen set to the max and got the StackHash. Lowered the autogen settings to just Dense and the StackHash crashes stopped. I installed FTX/Orbx Northern Calif and when to KSFO to check it out. Crash! Another StackHash. So now I'm going to have to uninstall the FTX/Orbx scenery as I never got crashes before that. I'll have to investigate what happened. Make sure you have no duplicate entries in your dll.xml. You do know that Lockheed Martin put the dll.xml in the same folder as the scenery.cfg so there are two dll.xml's and exe.xml's loading. That's okay if you do not have a module loading in the dll.xml in your p3d.cfg folder and also in the dll.xml in the scenery.cfg folder. Many of the installers do not know this and they are putting their entries in the old location. FSDT is the only one that has it figured out so far. June 22, 20169 yr I moved my dll.xml and exe.xml to a temporary folder and my StackHash errors went away. I did that as I disabled my Orbx/FTX California scenery and still got a StackHash. So now I know it is in one of the modules listed in the dll.xml or exe.xml. I just need to find it. I think it is the Sode module or the ObjectFlow_P3D.dll installed by FTX. I had no other issues before those modules were installed. Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! June 23, 20169 yr Jim just explain please which dll.xml and exe.xml to move from which folder as I don't want to move the wrong one! thanks
June 23, 20169 yr You will have two of them. One in the same folder as the p3d.cfg and one in the same folder where scenery.cfg is located. I just renamed mine and did not move them. Lots easier. You want to do the same thing with the exe.xml which should be located in both folders. These files load modules into your sim. They are not installed by default. They are installed when you install an addon like FSDT airports or FSUIPC or Orbx stuff. Hope this helps. Best regards, Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! June 23, 20169 yr I have them in programdata and also one in appdata/roaming which ones should i disable the ones in programdata or appdata or does it not matter so long as one lot is disabled ? thanks
June 23, 20169 yr By any chance did you install SplitX, by Aerosoft, the most recent version? Apparently it has caused numerous crashes. Un-installing it might help. Otherwise, I agree with what was said above, some other recent install has messed up your P3D set up. Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090
