OpenLC NA... Do I still need...

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have installed OpenLC NA.
Do I still need the NA regions, like GoldCRM, BluePNW, Blue NRM, etc or is OpenLC sufficient now?

No, you still need to keep the NA regions, they provide more detail than just the NA LC.

The regions add a lot - I have mine loaded since I mostly fly along the West Coast.

If you disable a region you will lose the custom mesh, all the custom airports, region-specfic textures and special objects like wind turbines, shipyard cranes, etc..

Is FX Central set to North America or Global when using Open LC North America?

You don't seem to need to set the region any more in the new FTX Central - as far as I can see it all seems to be automated now!

Bill

I think you do have to set North America in FTX when installing regions like PNW, etc.

Stan

Not with the new LC FTX Central, just install a region or airport and then open the new LC FTX Central and it takes care of everything else.

Martin

The new FTX Central no longer has region choices available.  It's all in one now, no hybrid modes.  Just install and all will be well.
