September 4, 20169 yr Well that's much better than my 5+ year old system (although I have the same graphics card), and it runs smoothly on mine with both enabled... G Edit: obviously I upgraded the gfx card! Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron

September 4, 20169 yr Normally, a GTX 960+ is good enough for P3D. Unless you need the settings on MAX, medium settings w/ addons should be fine, around 30-60 FPS. I have a 750ti and I get about 25 in Aerosoft A320, which is very frame heavy. A GTX 1060 is a better option. The 970 you picked out is about $290 USD. The GTX 1060 on Amazon is around the $250-$300 mark. I would go for a 1060 as well.
September 4, 20169 yr I run a 960 on i7 3770, I think with your proposed CPU the 970 may end up being close to a bottleneck. Since 970 and and 1060 are comparable in price, I would suggest the 1060 also. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's
