November 14, 20169 yr Moderator I have this exact same problem. Just wanted to chime in. I recently upgraded ASN to thier beta version to support V3.4. I do not have any carenado products insalled, however, I have both those XML entries. This has to be a ASN error. What beta version of ASN are you using? P3D loads normally when you change "False" to "True" in this line.... What is it doing by changing it to "true"? <Launch.Addon> <Name>CMeteoXml</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>.\CMeteoXml.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> Nope. ASN/AS16/ASCA have noting to do with CMeteo. It does not get installed, changed or deleted by AS. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

November 14, 20169 yr Hi, Oddly enough, I experienced a somewhat similar issue last night. After eight months one of my SLI'd GPUs failed. Took me a while to work out what had happened as all I had was a flickering blank screen following system boot. Couldn't even get into the UEFI BIOS so the diagnostic method was one of trial and error. For the time being I am running on the one remaining good GPU. During testing I discovered P3D halted and closed after the 45secs or so of loading stuff behind the displayed splash screen. Like the original poster I tried everything I could think of doing to get her going again, but no joy! Eventually I turned my attention to checking my other installations and everything worked as before with the exception of Skyrim. This advised me that it could not run as no audio device was detected!? I have an active speaker plugged into the headphone output of my rig and it was unplugged. Plugging it in again promptly brought up the audio configuration window and the settings were verified. Skyrim AND P3D both loaded normally thereafter. It's perhaps a bit of a nuisance not having access to a log when such events occur. Indeed I had started to compose a post asking for suggestions before that message from Skyrim pointed me in the right direction. I did notice that a freshly created Prepar3D.cfg had not completed adding all the entries so it looks like the 'absence' of an audio device caused the load to stall before the initial P3D window displayed. Go figure - that's a new one in my experience. Mike
November 16, 20169 yr Author That CMeteo is installed by some Carenado planes. That's the cause of the problem. I removed it and seems to have fixed the problem for me. It has to do with the weather radar on some carenado planes I believe. ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII ▪︎ Intel i9-10900K ▪︎ NVIDIA RTX 3090 FE ▪︎ 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro ▪︎ Windows 10 Pro (21H1) ▪︎ Samsung 970 EVO Pro 1TB NVME SSD (OS Drive) ▪︎ Samsung 860 EVO 2TB SATA SSD ▪︎ Seagate 4TB SATA HDD ▪︎ Corsair RMx 850W PSU
November 16, 20169 yr I got this from Carenado support for my P3D v3.4.14 install for the Carenado CJ2: "the Meteo file, is for the weather radar that is not supported on P3Dv3, we had to disable it, as it was causing CTD. P3D people are aware of this issue and we are waiting an update from them to solve the incompatibility issue." This is what I have for FSX and P3D .. For FSX:******************************** <Launch.Addon><Name>CMeteoXml</Name><Disabled>False</Disabled><Path>.\CMeteoXml.dll</Path></Launch.Addon><Launch.Addon><Name>Carenavigraph</Name><Disabled>False</Disabled><Path>.\Carenavigraph.dll</Path></Launch.Addon> For P3D :*********** <Launch.Addon><Name>Carenavigraph</Name><Disabled>False</Disabled><Path>.\Carenavigraph.dll</Path></Launch.Addon> Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
