Sweet livery Michael!   Hehe that was going to be one of the 1st livery I transferred over from my 777F paint.  I've already done the gold Atlas for another 747, the PMDG 744 will wear it as well.

UPS and Cathay bare metal as well.

Can't wait for this one!

I like planes that are dirty but this one maybe over the top. I think McPhat had the worn look about right.

Your VCV link is showing somewhere in the middle of Lebanon, and your MZJ is in the Med north of Alexandria Egypt......pretty sure they don't store planes at the bottom of the ocean! LMBO

No matter what I do, it keeps truncating the links...so I guess people are up to googling on their own. haha.

I disagree. I see AAL 73s fly in and out of DCA all day and none of them have ever looked like that. To me, they take it a bit over the top.

That's because they have all been repainted in the past couple of years.

Wait, are you referring to the screenshot or McPhat's liveries. I think the livery in the screenshot was done by SkyTextures.

The McPhat "look" is not to my taste. I prefer subtle realism to exaggerated artistic effects. I'd rather have a clean paint than something that looks like it's been flown through an oil mist.

Nice screen shots Michael.

I live a few miles from KDFW, and fly out of there all the time.  I have never seen one that dirty.  Completely over the top in my opinion.

I've always felt that the McPhat textures were too overdone. Their detail was too "detailed" if that makes sense.  You shouldn't be able to see rivets a few hundred feet from the aircraft (unless there is paint knocked off them and just in a few strategic areas that would naturally bring your focus to those areas.)

I think they wanted to show everyone how detailed they could paint a plane, but kinda' forgot that you have to factor in how things scale in a flightsim as you zoom in and out.  Sometimes too much detail is not a good thing.
